[NEWS] Mnet Media launches a web site dedicated to Big Bang in conjunction with their comeback!

Having dominated several music portal sites and charts such as Naver, MelOn, Nate, and Dosirak since the official release of their "Blue" music video, Big Bang is ready and determined to make their comeback a fierce one.

Surpassing over 5 million views of their MV on Youtube within 2 days, Big Bang is scheduled to reveal a short teaser of each title track every day till 29th February, where their fifth mini album "Alive" will then be released.

In conjunction with their comeback, Mnet Media has launched a special web site dedicated to Big Bang which contains everything about them, from their debut days till current promotions. Fans could also have the opportunity to participate in a short "All About Big Bang" quiz where they might stand a chance to walk away with an autographed Big Bang shirt!

Super Junior members Siwon and Donghae were in town over the last week for the promotions of their Taiwanese drama alongside with their co-star, Ivy Chen. Having held a fan meeting at Plaza Singapura the previous day which saw thousands of fans flocking to the mall to catch a glimpse of them, the cast had expressed that they were really glad to receive much support from the public, especially Ivy who was overwhelmed by the huge turnout of fans that evening.

Skip-Beat!, also known as Extravagant Challenge or 華麗的挑戰, is a Taiwanese drama starring Ivy Chen, Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae as the main characters. Prior to the drama's press conference the following day, the three of them have also participated in a school invasion program along with Radio 1003's DJ Ken. When asked to relate their experience, Ivy expressed that they felt very welcomed by the school and it reminded her of middle school, while Donghae added that he was really surprised to be recognized by many of the students in school. He hopes to be able to visit higher institutes if given another school invasion opportunity.

Here are some of the highlights during the press conference organized by Starhub:

Ivy shared that prior to their filming, she did receive notices/warnings to keep a safe distance from Siwon and Donghae. Initially she was feeling quite panicky and didn't dare to get too close to both of them. However, after the filming had commenced, she was rather relieved that everything went well smoothly. Siwon even added that E.L.Fs have told them to take care of Ivy too!
Ivy mentioned that she's on very good terms with both Siwon and Donghae, and enjoyed filming together with them.
Donghae felt that he could relate to his drama character as it was quite similar to his real personality in terms of cheekiness. It was said that he often tease Ivy during filming as well.
If given a chance, Donghae would like to take on a role in romance drama where he would give his very best shot in it.
Siwon expressed that he had learned a lot from his role in the drama. Whenever he encounters a situation whereby he forgets his lines, Ivy will always be around to send him some signals via gestures or facial expressions. Though language was definitely one of the challenges, he took many preparations and managed to overcome it with the help of the filming crew and casts, for which he was very thankful towards.
Siwon didn't think of himself as a top star. In his point of view, he felt that all stars should act professionally in every area regardless of whether is it acting or performing on stage.
Difference between filming in Korean and Taiwanese dramas? Siwon said that he enjoyed the lunchboxes provided during meal breaks while filming Skip-Beat!, in comparison to filming in Korea where they had to leave the set to search for food themselves and return within the 1-hour break.

On a question that asked if Donghae felt pressurised on his first Taiwanese drama where he had to act alongside Siwon who is much more experienced, he responded that it's pretty fine as he's used to working with Siwon in Super Junior, where trust is involved all the time.

Donghae even shared that in the beginning before they debuted as Super Junior, he didn't have a very good impression of Siwon. However, their friendship gradually blossomed over the years and now Siwon is like a brother or even a father to him as Siwon is always taking care and looking after his interests. Donghae also added that they got along so well such that both of them would often share secrets that could go on for days.

[COVER] F.T Island Rocks the Stage at their Play! Concert in Singapore!

15th January 2012 - F.T Island Play! Concert in Singapore
Following their last solo event in Singapore back in 2010, F.T Island returned last weekend for their first full scale concert held at The Max Pavilion. It turned out to be another successful concert where the band showcased their signature brand of rock ballads, leaving fans screaming for more.

Bringing a string of powerful live performances, the five-member band consisting of Choi Jong Hun (Guitar & Keyboard), Lee Hongki (Lead vocals), Lee Jae Jin (Bass & Vocals), Song Seung Hyun (Guitar & Vocals) and Choi Min Hwan (Drums), kicked off the concert with I Hope, followed by Bing Bing Bing and Cool Vs Pretty.

Charming and captivating the crowd with their vocals and rock songs, the boys also performed popular hits including Hello Hello, Love Love Love, Flower Rock, as well as songs from their Japanese single such as Life, I Want, and Let It Go. Full of energy and passion, Hongki even requested for all the fans to stand up and put their hands up during their performance of Flower Rock too!

Some highlights of the concert include Hongki hosting the stage and conversing with fans in English. As soon as member Jae Jin said that Singapore is very hot, Hongki quickly added cheekily, "But we know it's because of you!"

While all members were seated on stage with various instruments, F.T Island also performed to the acoustic version of Sunshine Girl as well as I Confess, winning and capturing the hearts of many through these ballad songs. The boys also took this chance to showcase their individual musical talents on stage as they wield their instruments, projecting across a different and fresh image of the band.

During the encore stage, F.T Island took over with their heartbreaking ballad Love Sick, and continued with Bad Woman. Fans were seen waving and singing along as the boys sang their souls out during Bad Woman. Still in high spirits despite having just performed their slow songs, F.T Island brought the house down with Like A Bird, an up-tempo song which provided a fresh twist to their performance. With Min Hwan joining the rest of the members on the extended stage after the performance, F.T Island thanked the fans with a bow and concluded the concert with confetti flying all over in the air.

Super Junior is finally coming to Singapore for their Super Show 4, which is greatly anticipated by everyone especially their fans. Singapore is the 4th stop for the Super Junior World Tour, and the concert will last around 3 hours long. Four member girl group, SISTAR, consisting of Hyorin, Bora, Soyu and Dasom, along with Boyfriend consisting of Kim Donghyun, Shim Hyunseong, Lee Jeongmin, Jo Youngmin, Jo Kwangmin and No Minwoo will be holding a 2 hour long fan meet in Singapore for the first time!

28th December 2011 - Do You Wanna B 'Block B' Press Conference / Meet & Greet Session

Visiting Singapore for the first time, Block B held a Fan Meet & Greet session at Tampines Mall, Level 4 Open Plaza a day prior to their showcase. During the press conference, the group appeared in black with dashing white suits, looking all ready to answer questions from the set & media.

Consisting of 7 members namely Zico (Woo Ji Ho), Lee Taeil, B-Bomb (Lee Min Hyuk), Ahn Jaehyo, U-Kwon (Kim Yu Kwon), Park Kyung, and P.O. (Pyo Ji Hoon), the boys were seen in their energetic self throughout the press conference, enjoying it as much as everyone who were present there. When asked about their impression of Singapore, leader Zico expressed that Singapore is a very clean country with nice and friendly people.

Having only debuted in April 2011, Block B had since garnered the interest of many with their swift dance moves, singing, rapping and composing abilities. Each individual in the group has their own charm and charisma, and we got to agree that all of them have great personalities as well!

Here are some of the questions prompted by the media during the press conference:

Q: Which Korean food best represents your personality?
P.O.: Bibimbap (Korean Mixed Rice). I have a husky deep voice, which stands out in the group just like how Bibimbap stands out due to its distinctive and rich flavour.
U-Kwon: Shikhye (Sweet Rice Dessert). I chose this because it represents my sweet smile.
Park Kyung: Kimchi. Reason being that it is fermented and doesn’t rot easily. I want to be as flavorful as Kimchi! (Does the Peace sign and exclaimed "Kimchi!" ^^V)
Zico: Makgeolli (also pronounced/known as Makkoli). It is a Korean rice wine, where not just people in Korea can enjoy it, but also everyone all over the world too.
Taeil: Kimchi. It has a unique flavour and at the same time, it tastes sweet & sour too. Just like me, I'm probably not that good looking but also not that bad looking, having the unique look and character in the group! ^_^

B-Bomb: Ramyun. No, no… Donggeurang Ttaeng! (Pan fried patty with tofu, meat & vegetables). It's round and cute, just like me!

Jaehyo: Samgyeopsal (Pork Belly). You can’t eat this by itself as you have to eat it with other bites or drinks. Also, you need to wait for it to cook well. So just like me, you'll need time and patience to know me well.

Q: You guys live together in the same dorm. Is there any bad habit(s) among the members?

Zico: Taeil has a foul foot odor.
Taeil: I agree!
Zico: Kyung snores and talks in his sleep. He even farts too! But it is not smelly as it is the smell of knowledge.

Q: Some of you have collaborated with other artistes such as Zico with HyunA. Are there any artistes whom you would like to collaborate with in the near future?
Jaehyo: Younha. I want to do a ballad song with her.
B-Bomb: I have not thought much about it but I would like to collaborate with U-Kwon for a dance next time.

Q: We know that Block B has been preparing for the upcoming new album. Tell us what is different for this album and who do you think has improved the most?
Park Kyung: I think that I have improved the most for the preparation of the album. For the upcoming album, there will be a rap for the introduction and we have placed all title songs into the album so please look forward to it. We have worked very hard for this.

Q: What is your impression of our Singapore BBCs when you arrived at the airport?

U-Kwon: We did not know what to expect from our Singaporean fans as it's our first visit here. We were really surprised by the huge turnout of fans at the airport and I think B-Bomb is the most popular member among all of us in Singapore.

Q: Since you guys live together in the same dormitory, what are some of the house duties that each member is in charge of?
Taeil: I do the cleaning and laundry.
P.O.: I am the youngest, so I usually fold the socks and arrange the shoes.
Park Kyung: I don't do any chores. I help to liven up the atmosphere!
P.O.: I don’t agree!

Q: If there is one thing you could say to each other, what would it be?
(Everyone started targeting Jaehyo... ^_^)
P.O.: When Jaehyo hyung talked about the way that Samgyeopsal represented him, it was a bit overdone!
U-Kwon: Jaehyo's voice tone and volume is a little too low today!
Kyung: His (Jaehyo) smile is a bit too much!
Zico: Jaehyo's white tie doesn't match with the suit!
Taeil: The bracelet on his (Jaehyo) left hand is a little too much today too!
B-Bomb: We (with Jaehyo) are sharing the same room in the hotel but why is it with me?!
Jaehyo: Everything is my fault today. (*Everyone starts laughing*)

Q: Zico plays a large part towards the production of the upcoming new album. Where does he get the musical influence from?

Zico: I watch a lot of music videos from all various artistes and got my inspirations to make music from there.

The press conference wrapped up with a photo session of the group before it came to an end. On the same evening, the Fan Meet & Greet session which took place at Tampines Mall, drew as many as hundreds of fans to the venue to catch a glimpse of the boys.

Block B arrived shortly according to the scheduled timing and greeted the fans earnestly and enthusiastically before they commenced with the autograph session that night.

The boys even received a special fan-made Christmas tree as a gift too!

After the autograph session, the boys took a short break where Zico then expressed that he really really love Singapore, causing fans to scream in their loudest for Block B. Without further ado, they continued with the Hi-5 session as part of the Meet & Greet program and happily Hi-5 the fans on stage.

The Meet & Greet session concluded with Zico adding that they were very grateful towards the fans and that Block B will be back with better music where fans can look forward to soon.

29th December 2011 - Do You Wanna B 'Block B' Singapore Showcase

Taking place at St James Powerstation, Powerhouse the following day, Block B held their first Singapore showcase which saw fans queuing up outside the venue since morning just to secure a good standing spot to catch the boys up-close.

The showcase kicked off with a performance of Halo, followed by a dance competition with lucky fans on stage. 7 fans were selected to go up on stage and pair up with each individual member to create their own dance choreography. Despite the (Korean) language barrier among Block B and the fans, there was not much of a problem in communicating with one another. It was really fun to see all of them working out the dance movements within minutes on stage and eventually, the winning team went to Taeil & his partner!

The next game segment was Action Charades where the boys had to act out different characters for the fan to guess it. Some of the interesting characters acted out were Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, Popeye, Mermaid, and Lady Gaga. We were pretty sure that their expressions and actions certainly brought much joy and laughter to all the fans who were present on that night!

Some other songs performed on that night were Wanna B, Freeze, and Tell Me. When it was close to the end of the showcase, the fans surprised B-Bomb (14th Dec) and Jaehyo (23rd Dec) with a birthday song and a cake as both of their birthday happened to fall in December. The Singapore BBC fanclub also prepared a short video clip for Block B as well!

During the encore stage, Block B performed Let's Get Retarded and P.O. even changed into a shirt given by the Singapore BBCs too! Since it was still during the Christmas season, the boys were seen walking around the stage, distributing candies to the fans. It was definitely a fun-filled and unforgettable showcase put up by Block B for all fans that night.

Before the showcase came to an end, Block B also mentioned that they would like to show their fans better music in the next album which Zico specially produced every song in it. We're definitely looking forward to their comeback and we're certain that you do too!

[NEWS] JYP and Alpha to hold a 2nd audition in Singapore in January 2012!

Alpha Entertainment Korea is jointly organising the 2nd JYP Alpha Audition in Singapore. We had a hugely successful audition in Singapore during end December 2010 where 2 from Singapore were selected and sent for training in Korea under Alpha Entertainment Korea. They will be part of a new Korean girl group to be launched in April/May 2012. This is the first time in which Singaporean will be part of the phenomenal K-pop Wave.

The event will be held on the 14th and 15th of January 2012 in Singapore at MDIS Queenstown Campus. There will be street castings before the auditions to search for more talents. As of 13th January 2012, 2,468 have signed up for the audition online and 500 are expected for walk-in. Participants are encouraged to showcase their talents here for a chance of being offered a contract and be groomed as a super star in Korea. They are required to Sing or Dance or Act or VJ or MC or Model. Songs can be sung in any language.

SECRET, a 4-member South-Korean girl group which consists of Jeon Hyosung, Jung Hana (Zinger), Song Ji Eun and Han Sunhwa, will be visiting Singapore for the first time to hold a scheduled fan meet during March in 2012. Being the third Korean girl group to debut at the top 10 on the Oricon charts, SECRET will be showcasing their powerful vocals and sleek dance moves during the fan meet where fans can look forward to!

Well, I guess there is no need for an introduction to Shaun Evaristo, the award-winning dance extraordinaire and celebrity choreographer. Originally from San Francisco, the Filipino-American dancer and choreographer is of no stranger to K-pop fans, as you could have probably heard of his name countless times, especially if you're fans of Big Bang, 2NE1 & Se7en.

Some of his credits for the YG artistes include Big Bang's Gara Gara Go!, Number 1, Taeyang's I Need A Girl, Wedding Dress, Where U At (with Lyle Beniga), G-Dragon's Heartbreaker, 2NE1's Fire, Se7en's Drips, just to name a few. Besides working alongside the YG Entertainment artistes, Shaun is also widely recognized for his choreographed works with Hollywood stars Omarion, Vanessa Hudgen, Travis Garland and NLT.

Aside from teaching workshops and choreographing routines, Shaun is also the president and founder of Movement Lifestyle, a "full-service choreography management company" that represents artistes like himself. Shaun Evaristo is, in short, an artist to be reckoned with.

Without further ado, let's take a deeper insight into the man behind such amazing choreography works and get to know him more as a mere individual.

HallyuSG was lucky enough to score an exclusive interview with Shaun Evaristo while he is in Singapore for the mega dance festival - United We Boogie Singapore 2011 - taking place from 11th to 20th December 2011. (Special shoutout to Danz People & Boogiezone.com for facilitating this interview!) Be sure to read on and find out about Shaun's upcoming plans, inspirations, personal thoughts on dancing and more!

Back in Singapore specially for the United We Boogie Singapore 2011, a dance festival jointly organized by Danz People & Boogiezone.com, Shaun says about the country, "One word that I have about Singapore is 'Fusion'. When I look around and see things, everything is just exciting! There's a great mix of food and people here! I also tried the xiao long bao (a type of Chinese steamed bun) and it's good!"

Q: What is/are your upcoming plan(s) after the United We Boogie Singapore 2011 festival?

Shaun: After this, I'll be returning home to LA (Los Angeles), where we have an official Movement Lifestyle store and studio which we'll be starting a tour next year from February onwards. I'll also be working with Show Luo (Mandopop artist) in Taiwan too.

Q: Where do you usually get your source of inspiration from and how do you go about creating the choreography?

Shaun: I derived a lot of my contents from actual personal experiences. It's basically like, I live life to create. The more life I experience, the more I'm able to create because I'm able to understand certain emotions. At the end of the day, these experiences come as a whole and when I'm ready to choreograph a dance, I can just pick from these different emotions and input them in the dance movements.

Q: Is/Are there any role model(s) whom you look up to? Where does your motivation comes from?
Shaun: I like to look at people who came before me, like Michael Jackson. Recently, I've been re-inspired by Prince, Gene Kelly, and the list goes on. I'm very musically inspired by people from the past as well. I grew up watching different crews and from there I kind of found music and dancing and was able to understand that I wanted to take it to another direction, completely somewhere else. That's when emotions came flowing in and my life experiences came into play.

As far as inspirations, I think my friends and peers are my source of motivation too! Jillian Meyers, Lyle Beniga, Pat Cruz, Tony Testa,...Well the list just goes on and on! My peers constantly push me on such that I want to do better. Because they are doing such an amazing work, I feel that I got to work just as hard and create my own path. My friends inspire me. I think my friends are the best dancers in the world.

It is difficult to properly describe Shaun's personal style of dance in words. More complex than traditional hip-hop, he is one who combines intricate movements with smooth control and takes dancing to a new level. And as the interview goes on, he continues sharing with us his feelings about dancing and choreography.

Q: You've created so many pieces of choreography. Which is your favorite and the most memorable one?
Shaun: That's a difficult question... I've created so many pieces but at the end of the day I just try to create and continue moving forward. I would utilize the tools that I learn from the past, and propel myself to the future. It's always like a learning tool which I can go back on.

Q: What kind of dance genre attracts you the most?
Shaun: I used to take up tap and jazz classes when I was younger and from there I got exposed to other styles like the hip-hop culture and pop music. I don't think there's that one style that attracted me the most. If it's anything, it's the foundation in hip-hop that I would always love. Hip-hop gets you moving and makes you want to rock and groove with the music.

Q: As a choreographer, do you create a choreography based on the dancers' ability? Or do you expect them to fit your demands?

Shaun: When I first started, I was expecting certain artistes to be able to match to certain abilities. However as I kept going, I learned that it's about being able to adapt to changes because each artist is different and each dancer is different. You have to be able to learn and adapt as you go. In the beginning, I kind of just did what I wanted but now, it's great to come up with an idea and a concept before going in-depth and mold it into a dance.

For K-pop artistes, what I do is, I let the song speak to me. I may not know the language but eventually it's about me feeling something out of the song. It creates an idea in me and I'll then bring it to the artistes.

There ought to be some difficulties or obstacles that people may encounter in life while pursuing their dream. How about Shaun? He was all smiles when we were on this topic about the language barrier in Korea. Let's find out more from his answer below!

Q: Was it hard for you to adapt to the Korean culture and people in comparison to other countries you've worked in?
Shaun: One of the very first countries which I travelled to was Japan - that was when I was 18. I had a really big culture shock as I had to find my way around. By the time when I ended up going to Korea, I spent one whole month there without knowing anything. The artistes do talk to me, but they would only use minimal English to communicate. It's like, "I want to talk to you, but I just don't know how". My first month there was very difficult but I'm used to breaking down barriers and being the first one to go and make things happen. So that was what the whole experience was all about.

I would use small words like "Food", "Hi", "Hello", and eventually I was able to figure out and understand what they were speaking. I've been to Korea for quite a few times already and I can tell you that my love for Korean food and people is...I love it. I love it there. Korea is like my second home and I feel that a part of me is Korean at heart. I feel like, maybe my past life was born as a part-Korean, part-Japanese, part-American and part-Filipino. (^_^)

Q: Can you speak a few words or phrases in Korean?

Shaun: "An-yŏng-ha-se-yo!" (안녕하세요 - Hi/Hello)... I don't know...Maybe "peh-goh-p'ah-yo" (배고파요 - I am hungry) or "Jin-jja-yo?" (진짜요 - Really?). I think I'm a little better inside the rehearsal room because I can say things like 'From the top' or 'Again', yeah things like that.

Q: Did you know the popularity of Big Bang and who they were when you first met them?

Shaun: At first, I got this email on Myspace where they showed me a link, saying that they wanted me to work with these artistes. Back then, I wasn't very interested as I had another job in mind which I was trying to go for. Eventually some things didn't managed to fall through, so I thought to myself, "Let's just try this."

(Us: And now they're one of the top acts in K-pop.)

Yeah! Not until I got there, did I understand that they're big in Korea. I've been travelling and working in the industry for a long time. When I was able to understand the Korean pop culture, I became more and more in tune with the Korean music. When I went overseas to teach, I would warm up to the music, tell people about who I'm working with and I would say that a lot of the dance cultures are into Korean music. I guess there was some sort of connection between myself and K-pop. From there, I kind of let it open and wow, now it's crazy! Even before me, Korean pop music was big. Now that there're so many dance artistes like myself and my peers contributing to the Korean pop culture, I feel really proud of it.

Q: I understand that you'll be working with Show Luo on your upcoming plans. Is there any difference in the way in which a K-pop dance and a Chinese-pop dance will be choreographed?
Shaun: It all depends on skills. I'm not going to give the artistes something that they can't handle. I believe I'm the artist behind the artist, so if I don't do my job right, I'll be really angry at myself. If they don't look good in front of their fans, it's kind of depressing to me. I'll have to make sure that they look good enough to be loved by fans. For me, knowing that you're part of that success behind them is what makes me happy.

Q: Since we're on a topic about dancing, how do you actually stay in shape? How many hours per day or week do you usually spend on dancing?
Shaun: Well, it's hard trying to balance everything. I have my Movement Lifestyle company to handle since I'm the CEO, and I'm also doing my own choreography as an artist, not forgetting that I have to find time for myself (personal life) too. Basically, I just stay health-conscious. I try to eat the right food and take more vegetables. I've been juicing a lot recently too, I think it kind of helps. I'm not strictly juicing though, I just take that in between meals. Dancing really helps out a lot as it gets your blood pumping and constantly builds your body. To me, dancing isn't just a hobby. It's a lifestyle too!

Q: Have you ever thought about doing anything else other than dancing?

Shaun: I like film. I feel that I will be able to handle my own project and I don't think I'm far from those dreams being that I love being creative and artistic. But if I weren't dancing, I guess I will be into skateboarding.

(Us: Are you good in skateboarding?)

Nope! I was on a verge of wanting to learn it though. I love design too!

Q: If you were to judge a dance audition, what will you look out for in the contestants?
Shaun: What I will look out for depends on the project. If it's for an artist job, they will need to have a certain look and style to represent themselves. They'll have to be able to adapt to what I want and provide me with more. That's why it's important for them to know their foundation first.

Q: Fans are curious as to how they could remember the dance steps easier and faster. Are there any techniques or tips that you would like to suggest to them?
Shaun: It's about putting in the hard work. If you really love something, you would go for it and that goes to speak for anything. Particularly, you can study videos and ask questions. I think that the greatest thing about dance is getting to share with one another. It's a fact that you can share a language without speaking. Dance is the only language that you don't have to say a word to communicate. You can tell a whole story by just moving! That's what makes dance so special. Even working with K-pop artistes or any artistes for that matter, I don't particularly have to say anything. Well, obviously we do say something, but we can just use our body movements to communicate with one another. It's a really great exchange of languages between us.

Q: Lastly, do you have any words of encouragement/advice for those who are learning dancing?

Shaun: One thing that I always say is, "Explore". It's very important to understand fundamentals to go back and know your roots. Know where you came from and study what they are now. Once you understand the base, the whole world will be for you to learn and explore. Utilize your tools. Your body is your instrument to explore. If you don't know your own limitations, how do you expect to push yourself further and to discipline yourself?

[COVER] TVXQ! brings the house down at their Asia Fan Party in Singapore!

December 4th, 2011 - TVXQ! Asia Fan Party in Singapore

Dubbed with the title of "Kings of the Hallyu Wave", the duo from TVXQ! certainly hyped-up the whole atmosphere at their Asia Fan Party in Singapore last weekend. Recognized as one of Asia's most successful acts, TVXQ!, otherwise known as Tong Vfang Xien Qi or Dong Bang Shin Ki, consisted of U-know Yunho & Choikang Changmin. It was the duo's first visit to Singapore since their debut which saw hundreds of fans turning up at the airport to welcome them a day prior to their fan party in Singapore.

Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, this was the first largest scale Korean pop fan party which attracted a total of 4,500 local and international fans. Of which, included fans who have specially flown in from neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia & Philippines in order to catch TVXQ! live in action. Fans were seen queuing up outside the stadium as early as 6am in the morning just to secure a good standing spot to catch the boys up-close.

The stadium was lighted up in a sea of red as soon as the fan party commenced. Fans were treated to a full version of Before U Go music video which lasted for 16-minutes long before the boys finally appeared on stage and opened their fan party with an energetic performance of Maximum.

Decked in dashing white outfits, TVXQ! greeted the fans and proceeded with a Q&A section on stage which was the next segment of the fan party.

Yunho: This is my first visit to Singapore. I'm so happy to meet my fans here. Please enjoy tonight!

Changmin: Thank you to all who came down tonight to watch us perform. We hope you guys will enjoy tonight!

With Singapore being the first South East Asian stop for TVXQ! Asia Fan Party, Yunho had also expressed that he could feel the heat, energy and love from the fans here. On a Yes/No question posted by the emcee of whether Orchid is the national flower of Singapore, Changmin answered "Yes!" and cheekily admitted that it was because the fans were signalling a ‘Yes’ to him. The boys also tried to converse in Singlish, to which phrases like "No problem LAH", "Chilli crab in Singapore is SHIOK" & "ALAMAK! So many fans are here!" were heard.

Thereafter, a footage video of SM Town Live in Paris 2011 was screened while the duo retreated backstage to prepare for their next ballad performance, How Can I. It was so captivating and mesmerizing such that they had the entire stadium of fans waving and singing along too!

Here are some of the emcee/fan-questions asked during the fan party which garnered interesting and heartwarming responses from the boys:

Emcee: What is your impression of Singapore fans?
Changmin: Singapore is a very clean and tidy country. The fans gave us a very warmth welcome on arrival, to which we were really thankful for that.

Emcee: You've been to the SM Town Live Concert in Paris this year. Is there any difference between European and Singaporean fans?

Yunho: Hmm... That's a tough question.. But no matter what, the warmth we received from the fans is the same. However, the wait for our Singapore fans had been too long, so at this moment, we felt more warmth and passion here.

Fan: Is there anything different that you've seen in Singapore Cassies? Did you expect something different?
Changmin: It was different from what I had expected. Singapore fans are very passionate and gave us more energy. We're so happy to see so many fans here as we were worried of being forgotten.

Fan: What is TVXQ's plan in 2012?
Yunho: We were planning on having a tour concert in Japan in 2012 and will be producing even better music for our comeback. Please look forward to it!

Fan: How about TVXQ's new year resolution?
TVXQ: After seeing so many fans here today, our new year resolution is to come back to Singapore again and perform for all of you here.

Fan: What is your favorite local food in Singapore?
Changmin: Chilli crab, pepper crab! We tried it the night before and it's really delicious and tasty!

Fan: TVXQ started off as singers and moving on to take on different roles in dramas and musicals. Which identity is your favorite and what do you like in each aspect?
Yunho: All of these identities are a good experience for us to learn and I like them all, but being TVXQ is still the best. I think Changmin feels the same way as well. We just have to keep pushing the boundaries and keep exploring every new opportunity. It will be a long learning journey for us but please look forward to it.

Emcee: What is the best thing of working with each other?
Yunho: As a leader, I get a lot of stress in work but Changmin is always here for me so I felt really grateful.

Proceeding after the talk segment was the screening of the top 2 fan-made videos for TVXQ!. Having watched the videos, the boys expressed that they were really moved by all the effort and love shown by the fans. There were times when they felt like giving up but fans are always around for them, giving them the energy to stand on stage and perform, for which they were very thankful towards.

The fan party continued with the making-of footages of Before U Go music video before the boys returned with a mind-blowing performance of Before U Go, followed by TVXQ! medley of The Way U Are & Mirotic, Rising Sun and last but not least, Why? (Keep Your Head Down).

On the ending speech, Changmin wished for everyone to have a good December and of course, a joyful Christmas. He also added, "If there is a chance, we'll definitely be back!" Said Yunho, "We'll bring our best to you always. Please give us lots of love! I love you, Singapore!"

With that, it concluded the first stop of TVXQ! Fan Party in Asia. It was truly an unforgettable night for all Cassies and fans in the stadium, wasn't it? Certainly an awesome party to mark the ending month of the year for us! ;)

Shaun Evaristo, award winning celebrity choreographer and dancer extraordinaire, is best known for this works with Korea's super band Big Bang. This Filipino American from San Francisco, started young. Mimicking Michael Jackson music videos from the age of five; forming dance group Gen2 in his garage with his cousins at 10; Shaun, by 18, just knew that dancing was what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Moving to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams, he crafted his own style of slick moves to call his own, forging an early career in dance and choreography that quickly caught the attention of pop stars in U.S. and abroad.

While it is difficult to properly capture into words Evaristo's style of dance - more complex than traditional hip-hop, there is a precise smoothness and intensity to his moves that elude definition, it is no doubt that his style has won over millions of fans across U.S. and Asia - evident from the overflowing praises posted on his Facebook, MySpace and YouTube accounts. Not surprisingly, the words "inspiration" and "amazing" pop up in almost every other comment.

Other than teaching workshops and choreographing routines for the stars, Evaristo is also the president and founder of Movement Lifestyle, a full-service choreography management company that represents artists like him.

[COVER] Relive Sundown Festival 2011 Fan Meet & Concert

Sundown Festival 2011 kicked start with a Fan Meeting on the 25th of November with Taiwanese singer Zhang Yun Jing, J-rock band ViViD and K-pop group Teen Top! Held at Square 2 Novena, the Fan Meet was open for the public to view where non-ticket holders were welcomed to join in the fun too. The first 150 fans who spent S$50 between 11am to 4pm on that very same day were entitled to redeem an exclusive poster for the autograph session. The mall was packed full of fans who were there to catch a glimpse of their idols and Zhang Yun Jing was the first to turn up for the autograph session.

And here we have J-rock band, ViVID!

Not forgetting the group that had fans screaming their lungs out for - Teen Top!

Everyone was anticipating the day following the Fan Meet, which was the Sundown Festival 2011 Concert.

Held at the Marina Promenade last weekend, Sundown Festival saw more than 10,000 fans turning up for the concert which proved to be another successful year following Sundown 2009 & 2010. This year's Sundown Festival had gathered Asian artistes from Japan, Korea and Taiwan to share the stage in bringing out the best outdoor event experience for music, cultural and entertainment in Singapore. Of the artistes invited were ViViD (Japan), Teen Top (Korea), Zhang Yun Jing, Hebe Tien & Show Luo (Taiwan). There were also various tentages set up for sale of Asian street snacks and beverages to fill up all the empty stomachs too. Although it started raining a few hours before the actual concert, this did not dampen the fans' mood for the night.

Fans were seen queuing since morning (and some as early as the night before!) just to secure a good standing spot to catch their favorite artistes up-close. Despite having to brave through the on-going rain, most of them were fully prepared and armed with ponchos, umbrellas, and not forgetting their fanboards too!

Due to the pouring rain, the festival was slightly delayed and only started at close to 8pm that night. The opening of the festival was celebrated with a drums performance, followed by a traditional dragon-dance performance which certainly pumped up the atmosphere for the night.

The next moment we knew, ViViD was up on stage and brought the house down with their dynamic performances. Being a Japanese rock and visual-kei band, it was of no surprise to see ViViD rocking and taking over the stage within seconds after their performance started. Some of the hit songs performed that night included 「夢」～ムゲンノカナタ～(Mugen No Kanata), カケラ(Kakera), Crisis and Fake (Encore performance). It was the band's first visit to Singapore and we're sure that they have had an amazing time with the fans at the Sundown Festival. It was certainly an eye-opening experience for us too!

Taiwanese solo-singer Zhang Yun Jing (張芸京) was the next performer on list. More commonly known as 阿京 (A-Jing), she was the champion of the inaugural season of Taiwan talent competition show "Super Idol" in 2008. That night, she performed 义气, 让我照顾你, 相反的我 as well as 春泥 - a remake of Harlem Yu's song. A-Jing even flaunted off her guitar skills during 相反的我 performance as well, which was much to the surprise of many!

And of course, the moment where all the K-pop fans were awaiting for - South Korean pop sensation, Teen Top. These 6 boys certainly did hyped up the whole concert atmosphere with their popular hit songs and synchronized dance movements. It was a joy watching them dancing and singing along to some of our favorite tracks such as 'Supa Luv', 'Angel', 'No More Perfume On You' and not forgetting their ballad track, 'The Back Of My Hand Brushes Against'. On the encore stage, Teen Top also performed 'Clap', earning roaring applause and cheers from the entire crowd.

Right after Teen Top's performances came Hebe Tien (田馥甄), a Taiwanese singer who is also from the popular Mandopop female band, S.H.E. Dressed in a silky white maxi-dress, Hebe was no doubt one of the highlights of the concert as she performed her solo-album tracks which included 'My Love', 'Love', 'To Hebe', '还是要幸福' and ended off with '寂寞寂寞就好'. Her soft and soothing vocals had gotten the entire crowd waving along to the melody of the songs while she was singing on stage. Not to mention, we were absolutely enchanted and charmed by her performances too!

Last but not least, the finale stage of the concert belonged to Show Luo (罗志祥), who not only showed off his swift dance moves but also displayed his all-time humor self too. His dubbed title as 'Dancing King of Asia' was certainly beyond any doubt, as we finally got to catch his live performances that night - '精武门', '爱风头', '一支独秀' and 'Only You'. He even added jokingly in Mandarin, "I just gobbled down five black pepper crabs! Some are here (pointing to his tummy)...And another is here (pointing to his chest abs) but it has not yet been digested. Maybe I'll have to dance a 'Crab-dance' later... (laughs)". Although he eventually did not show the 'Crab-dance', we do look forward to seeing it the next time he visits Singapore again! And we're sure all his fans do too! :)

With the flight schedules fully disclosed at the Sundown Festival 2011 website, there’s nothing stopping you from whipping out those marker pens and glitter, and making your own DIY welcome poster to greet your favourite artistes as they arrive at the Changi Airport.
Get up close and personal
Organisers have put in place measures to satisfy the cravings of Sundown fans (and no, I’m not referring to food). Instead, fans out there will get the chance to see (and maybe touch) their favourite idols with the special Fan Meet session that will take place on 25 November, 7pm at Square 2. Get your autographs, snap those mementos, exchange high fives with your favourite artistes. Who knows, you may be lucky enough to take home some exclusive souvenirs from your idols. Now add that to your growing collection!
Don’t forget your camera!
With tons of dancing and flashing lights, don’t be the only clown using your mobile phone to take pictures. Trust us, you’re going to regret it especially when it is time to post your best shots up on Facebook. Bring a good compact camera and rest assured that your pictures will be awesome. Go ahead, be a ‘cam whore’!
Snack away!

Know where the toilets are
We all know that it’s important to hydrate, but besides your perspiration, all that food and drink has got to go somewhere. Save yourself a ton of embarrassment by knowing where the toilets are. It could be a life saver (especially if you have to go – bad!). Remember, no one likes a smelly boy/girl… not even the Stars.
Sundown Festival 2011 After-Party!
Engage in some post-Sundown Festival revelry at Butter Factory, the after-party venue for this year’s event. Sundown Festival 2011 may have ended, but that doesn’t mean that the dancing should. 2PM Hands Up Asia Tour in Singapore - 19th November 2011 was certainly an unforgettable night for everyone who was present at the concert. Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, it was 2PM's first HOTTEST solo concert in Singapore, brought to you by HYPE Records. It turned out to be a whopping success with close to 7,000 fans cheering continuously for 2PM throughout the concert.

As soon as the concert started, the stadium was painted in a sea of green with lighted cheering sticks (clappers) sponsored with courtesy by the official presenter, Starhub. The 6 beastly men started off the concert with songs from their latest Hands Up album, which definitely hyped up the whole atmosphere in the stadium. They threw a mind-blowing performance of 'Hot', followed by 'Electricity' and 'Hands Up', displaying their high-energy throughout the songs. Not forgetting that the boys actually filmed their Hands Up music video right here in Singapore during May this year too!

The boys continued with 'Crazy for U' and 'Tired of Waiting' before they proceeded on with their solo acts on stage. The first being a collaboration stage of 'Beside U' by JunHo and Woo Young, as they impressed fans with their synchronized dance moves, earning the roaring cheers from the audience.

After a self-introduction of themselves, the members sat on the chairs provided on stage and serenaded the fans with 'I Can't', a song with a sweet melody and tune attached to it. They had the entire stadium of fans waving and singing along with them too!

The boys also performed 'Give It To Me' and 'Dance2Night' before Taecyeon and Nichkhun retreated backstage awhile to prepare for their shared solo-stage, 'My Valentine'. While the both of them were changing backstage, the rest of the members took over the stage and kept the fans entertained with Woo Young showcasing a short dance, Junsu singing an early Christmas song and Junho & Chansung posing in their cutesy self.

When it was his turn for solo-stage, Chansung, the youngest member of 2PM, flaunted his martial arts skill and amazed the audience with his quick and dynamic sword moves. As for Junsu (Jun.K), we certainly saw a different side of him as he performed his solo-album track 'Alive'. Oh yes, everyone had to agree that he put on a charismatic stage that night!

On top of that, 2PM also performed their popular hits such as 'I'll Be Back', 'I Hate U', 'Back2U', '10 out of 10', 'Again and Again', 'I'm Your Man' and 'Don't Stop Can't Stop'. During their 'Only You' performance, the boys were seen going around the stage providing much fan service and giving out red roses to fans in the three mosh pit zones. Before the concert came to a close, we finally got the chance to watch the 'zombie-like' & 'pyramid' dance movements from the much anticipated performance 'Heartbeat'.

With the fans chanting "2PM! 2PM! 2PM!" for an encore stage, the boys returned back up on stage again with a song for their Hottests, 'Thank U'. It was truly a heart-warming scene seeing them expressing their gratitude to all fans in the stadium who came for their concert. A remix performance of '10 out of 10' & 'Hands Up' concluded the concert with confetti in the air. Though 2PM Hands Up Concert in Singapore had came to an end, Hottests may have something to look forward to in 2012. Added Nichkhun, "We may be coming back for another concert next year! I had fun and I love you guys!"

Last year, Sundown Festival 2010 was held at Universal Studios Singapore®, Resorts World™ Sentosa along the authentic facades and alley of the New York Street. Presenting a lively and fashionable street entertainment concept, the festival saw artistes and fans of the Asian music soaking in the fun that night under the impressive big city skyline of the New York Street.

The opening of the festival caught the attention of many with a dynamic drum performance by the Japanese Taiko Drum Group. Emphasizing on gathering fans of the Asian music and culture, the show also boasted world-class music acts from both Japan and Korea.

Featuring different groups of Asian artistes from Japan and Korea, the music festival was highlighted with performances from Japanese rock bands, SuG & LM.C, whom represented the visual kei movement of Japan, as well as the Korean pop sensations, After School & F.Cuz.

Sundown Festival 2010 was definitely impressive and eye-opening for all fans who were present during the event. [FUNFACTS] All About Sundown Festival 2009!

Held as a bi-annual event, the Sundown Festival will be back again this year with an even more exciting outline! The festival was first held in Singapore two years ago (known as Seoul'd Out! 2009) which had gathered more than 7,000 audience at the Fort Canning Park.

Showcasing a series of performances and activities, the Sundown Festival Seoul'd Out! 2009 served as a complete cultural exchange that had attracted people of all ages and levels of interest to join in the carnival of all things Korean.

Fans of the Korean culture were welcomed by a dramatic percussion performance by Korean Musical Miso - the first of nine acts and prelude to a vibrant, fascinating four-hour worth of pumped-up performances.

Besides that, the festival also highlighted an adrenaline-driving performance by a surprise deejay and guest, followed by a star line up of soloists, such as the hugely popular “My Girl” Mario and Ji Su Lee, the 23-year-old musical genius who has been featured prominently in regional and international music television channels, song charts and Korean film soundtracks.

Judges Impressed with Singapore’s tvN K-POP Star Hunt Contestants
Top 20 advance to Round 2 of the audition on 23 October

Singapore, Oct 22 – 100 aspiring K-Pop superstars showcased their vocal prowess and slickest dance moves in front of the tvN K-POP Star Hunt’s panel of judges, Mr. Eddy Tan, Vice President, Programming of tvN, [V] and Star World, Fox International Channels (FIC); Mr. Park Jae-Hyun, General Department Head of Rookie Development Division, CUBE Entertainment; and Singapore guest judge, television personality and actress, Ms. Irene Ang. Based on their personal style, soulful croons, polished choreography and the "superstar" factor, the top 20 contestants will move on to the final round of competition tomorrow, where the top two will be selected for professional training with CUBE Entertainment and compete in the finals for K-Pop superstardom!

The atmosphere at StarHub Green was tense as each contestant took their spots in the holding area, warming their vocal chords, or further perfecting their dance moves. There were others who huddled together with their family members and friends for additional emotional support, as they nervously awaited their turn to perform.

Ranging from ages as young as 12 to 28-year olds, the superstar hopefuls shared their dreams and aspirations with organisers, gushing over the opportunity to train with CUBE Entertainment, the entertainment management company which has churned out Korean powerhouses such as BEAST, 4 Minute and G-NA. Many passionate fans even chose to pick up the Korean language to better articulate their singing and to understand the conversations and chatter on Korean variety shows as well as in their favourite Korean drama series.

Said one such fan, Ms. Fu Qiaohan, 16, a student at Zhonghua Secondary School, “I picked up the Korean language two years ago so that I could reduce my dependency on subtitles whenever I watch Korean programmes. It has also helped me to relate to some of the puns and play on words that are spoken in these programmes. This way, nothing gets lost in translation.”

Eddy Tan, who sat amongst the esteemed panel of judges, was awestruck by the quality of performances. He remarked, “I'm really amazed by the quality of the contestants! Some of the performances really blew me away. Not only did the contestants' ability to sing and dance impress me but many of them were also effectively multi-lingual with a handful able to speak Korean proficiently.”

Singapore guest judge Irene Ang, who is also the CEO and founder of Singapore's pioneer artiste management company FLY Entertainment Pte Ltd, was especially specific in her selection with only the most outstanding and well-rounded contestants receiving the top marks. She explained, “We are looking for contestants that we feel best represent Singapore and are able to perform well even on an international platform. We look beyond the performance and also take into consideration the potential of each contestant. Talent is also key.”

“We are looking forward to the finals tomorrow where competition will be even tighter,” Ang added.

The top 20 contestants will gear themselves up for the final round of auditions which will be held tomorrow, Sunday, 23 October at Square 2, from 2pm onwards, where the judges will be called on once again to select their final two. The two contestants will represent Singapore in Seoul, joined by eight other representatives from Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines. In Seoul, the ten finalists will undergo a boot camp mentored by CUBE Entertainment and star in a reality series which will air on 31st December, Saturday, 8pm on tvN (StarHub channel 824) where the next K Pop Star will be crowned.

22nd & 23rd Oct 2011 - tvN K-pop Star Hunt / CUBE Entertainment Auditions

After the overwhelming on-line video selections by tvN, top 100 contestants from each region were shortlisted for an audition for a chance to debut as the next K-pop star under CUBE Entertainment. Singapore was the first stop upon which the auditions were held for a consecutive of 2 days.

Among the three judges were Mr. Eddy Tan - Vice President of Programming for tvN, [V] and Star World, Fox International Channels (FIC), Mr. Park Jae Hyun - General Department Head of Rookie Development Division of CUBE Entertainment, and last but not least, Ms. Irene Ang - our local celebrity actress who is also the CEO of FLY Entertainment Pte Ltd.

With contestants ranging from age 12 to 28, we had a chance to speak to a handful of them on the first day and find out various aspects as to how they feel towards the auditions. Said Chris (14), a student from Hougang Secondary School, "I'm all set and ready to go for it if I'm lucky enough to be offered a contract by CUBE Entertainment."

Unlike Chris who has supportive parents behind his dream of becoming a K-pop star, a few of them revealed that they have joined the auditions without their parents' consent and wanted to gain acknowledgement from them through this opportunity.

One of the contestants, Nazirah (18), has always aspire to be a singer since the age of 9. The Ngee Ann Polytechnic student has been supportive of the K-pop industry for 7 years and has also expressed her interest in this area of field.

When asked about their views on the current Hallyu fever in Singapore as well as around Asia, many of them felt that this music trend will continue for the next generation as K-pop is becoming more popular and widespread in the foreign markets. Another contestant, Angie, who takes up dancing and singing classes regularly, added that she now considers K-pop dance as one of her strongest dance genres even though K-pop is still fairly new to her.

Speaking of the influence in K-pop, we also came across Joey (18), who has had past experiences in auditions. Said Joey, "I've started singing since 12 years old and singing has always been a passion of mine. K-pop is something new that I would like to give a try at."

Proceeding from the first round of closed auditions, only 20 contestants were shortlisted for the final round which took place the following day (23rd Oct) at Novena Square 2. It was an intense competition among the 20 of them, considering that they have less than 24 hours to gear themselves up. Nonetheless, all of them came prepared to impress the judges with their performances on stage.

After much discussions among the 3 judges, it was finally decided that the top 2 contestants to represent Singapore in Seoul would be none other than Jasmine Tan (16) and Maressa Zahirah (23).

Both Jasmine & Maressa will be joined by 8 other representatives from Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines for an intensive training under CUBE Entertainment where the next K-pop star will be crowned. All 10 of them will also participate in the filming of a reality series which will air on 31st December 2011, 8pm on tvN (StarHub Channel 824).

Following the announcement of results was the press conference where we had the opportunity to find out the opinions of the judges as well as talk to the two girls on their win.

On a question of why Singapore was chosen as the first country to hold the auditions, Mr. Eddy Tan expressed that the audition happened to coincide with the promotion of the Korean culture here (by Korean Tourism Organization) and they felt that it was a good opportunity to hold it in a mall open to the public to join in the fun. Ms. Irene Ang also added that there are many talented youths in Singapore and it's time for them to showcase their skills on stage, "Talents is all that we have!"

So what were the judges looking out for in the contestants?

Ms. Irene Ang: "Talent is a must. As we all know that in Korea, beauty can be improved so we emphasize more on national talent that can best represent Singapore in Korea, as well as the contestants' attitude and potential. The X-factor is what I look out for as well."

Mr. Eddy Tan: "For me, overall it'll be the individual star quality and personality. Irene and I pushed on some of the contestants during the audition as we wanted to see how they will react and some of the results were surprising. It was difficult for us to select only 20 contestants to proceed for the final round of auditions because between Mr. Park, Irene and I, the three of us have different opinions. I am amazed with the performances in the final round and some of them even did better than the previous round."

Mr. Park Jae Hyun: "Dancing & singing are 2 skills related to the Korean industry, but I'm looking for someone who can do more than this. Looks and age are secondary factors. Ultimately, personality and attitude is what I look out for."

Said Ms. Irene Ang, "Everybody has speciality in their races. For Maressa, she stands out from the rest with her powerful and emotional vocal. While some of the contestants appeared to be nervous during the auditions, Jasmine has the confidence and looks professional on stage. She puts up an impressive performance with precise dance moves."

When asked about how the 3-weeks training will be conducted in Korea, Mr. Park responded that the trainees will be going through classes which will train them in their vocal, dance, weight-management, language and acrobatics. It will not just be ongoing training throughout the 3 weeks, but the trainees will also get to enjoy and at the same time, brainstorm together on mistakes that can be improved.

Mr. Park added, "They must have a positive attitude, self-determination and passion for success. Just like 2PM's Nichkhun - He wasn't able to speak the Korean language in the beginning but now he has improved so much and has became one of the top stars in Korea. The trainees will have to learn from him."

On the other hand, we also caught up with Jasmine, one of the top 2 winners of the auditions in Singapore. Currently taking her O-level examinations at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School, Jasmine expressed her concern for the auditions as well as the examinations as she had to cope with both preparations at the same time.

"I didn't expect myself to win as there were others who did better than me. I'm still in shock."

When asked to describe something unique about her, Jasmine replied, "Confidence on stage. I don't know where the confidence came from, but I feel that the stage belongs to me when I'm standing up there. My body just move naturally with the music."

Said Jasmine, "I'm looking forward to the experience and different environment in Korea for the upcoming training. My performing style is more of a funky and sexy approach. If given a chance to debut in future, I would like to take on a concept that really stands out, maybe just like After School.

As for Maressa, she was not expecting the win as well. Having participated and eliminated from past singing competitions such as the 2009 Singapore Idol 3 and KBS K-Pop World Star 2011, Maressa did not just give up like this.

She told The New Paper, "In a way, I wanted to prove people wrong. I persevered because singing is in my blood."

Blush, the first Pan-Asian female group with five multi-talented young Asian artists representing China, Japan, India, Korea and the Philippines are coming back in Singapore from October 12 to 15 to promote their second single, Dance On.

Angeli Flores from the Philippines, Natsuko “Nacho” Danjo from Japan, Alisha Budhrani from India, Victoria Chan from China and Ji-hae Lee from South Korea will embark on a 4-day promotional tour in Singapore where they will visit the local universities and international schools as part of their global school tour. Blush will also have a live showcase at Singapore’s top dance club, Butter Factory on October 12, at 11.00pm.

tvN K-Pop Star Hunt soon to reveal the Top 500 for Local Auditions!
Singapore will be the first to kick off the battle on October 22 & 23!

Singapore, Oct 13 – Aspiring K-Pop superstars are one dance step closer to their dreams as tvN K-Pop Star Hunt: CUBE Audition will soon reveal the Top 500 for local auditions! As the video submission period ended last Sunday (Oct 9), tvN and CUBE are now picking 100 out of tens of thousands competitors from each region. On Oct 16 2011, the results will be announced on the official website of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt (www.tvnstarhunt.com).

Confirmed to be the first country to kick off the battle, Singapore will have their local audition on Oct 22 and 23, followed by Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines in the first two weeks of November!

With a fantastic, overwhelming response from the hopeful K-Pop sensations in Asia, talent scouts from CUBE and tvN are screening through every jaw-dropping video to select the best candidates for the local auditions! The 100 chosen candidates from each country will then compete for the two spots that will take them to Seoul for professional training with CUBE and to compete in the finals for K-Pop superstardom!

The list of 500 chosen names will be posted on the official website on 16th October with the dates, venues and other details of local auditions. All local candidates will also be contacted by a tvN representative for detailed audition information.

Singaporean candidates – be prepared as the battle begins in your country on Oct 22 and 23! Everyone else should check the website regularly for audition details in Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines.
