2nd October 2012, Singapore – SKarf Official Fan Signing Ceremony
Taking place at Bugis+, one of the newly refurbished malls formerly known as Illuma, the 2nd of October saw a fan signing ceremony of Korean girl band ‘SKarf’ which was held in conjunction with their one year endorsement deal with Giant Hypermarket. SKarf, a four-member girl band who debuted in August consists of two Singaporean members (Tasha and Ferlyn) and two Korean members (Sol and Jenny). Aside from their first fansign session in Singapore, the girls also received an invitation from the Korea Embassy to celebrate Korea’s National Foundation Day in Singapore.
Performing to two of their infectious tracks ‘Oh! Dance‘ and ‘My Love‘ with much passion, the girls had definitely left the audience an amazing impression. The title song ‘Oh! Dance’ has received positive responses especially from its well-choreographed dance steps based on the concept of first style generation idols such as S.E.S. The choreography is also a collaboration with Nana’s Dance Academy who are known for their choreography of Girls’ Generation ‘Gee’.
During the ceremony, lucky fans were given the opportunity to get up-close with the girls through game interactions and activities held on stage. Making their visit a memorable one, a pleasant birthday surprise was also held for Tasha, the leader of SKarf whose birthday happened to be around the corner. Despite having debuted only for two months, SKarf already has their own Daum cafe, an online platform that allows them to stay connected with their fans. The group added that they do check and read the messages left for them and encourages fans to leave more messages as well as suggestions for the fan club name via the Daum cafe.
