CJ E&M will stage the Korean version of the hit Broadway musical 42nd Street from July 8 to August 31 at the CJ Towol Theater at Seoul Arts Center.
42nd Street is a hit Broadway musical about a girl, Peggy Sawyer, who chases after and achieves her dreams of becoming a Broadway actress. First introduced in 1996, the original version of 42nd Street has been presented over 20 seasons in Korea to great fanfare. For the new Korea version, top theatre talents Nam Kyung Joo and Park Hae Mi headline a show that features more thrilling tap dance routines and stunning choreography than ever before.
To celebrate the launch of the Korean version of 42nd Street, the popular K-Pop jazz band Winterplay has released a new song Dream Your Dream in collaboration with the Korean cast of the musical. The special collaborative group, named 42ND SUMMERPLAY, recently unveiled the music video of the song.
For its part, Winterplay is a Korean pop-jazz quartet band popular across Asia whose track Shake it up and Down has dominated music charts. Check out the music video below!
