Korean National Day Reception was recently held at the Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore on 30th September 2015 to mark the first official launch of the Korea Festival 2015.
Following an opening speech by His Excellency Suh Chung-Ha, The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, the Guest-of-Honour Mr. Lim Swee Say, Minister for Manpower, gave his congratulatory speech.
To commemorate this special year to both countries, Uangel Voice was invited to sing both the Korean and Singapore national anthems as a gesture of appreciation and respect for both countries’ cultures and origins.
Being a classic vocal group from Korea, the Uangel Voice Choir entertained the guests and audience with their angelic and impressive vocals.
The Hanbok Fashion Show was the highlight of the night, with one of the members of the Uangel Voice Choir as the main male model.
This hanbok show was specially organized to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Singapore. Around 30 pieces of Hanbok delineated by the renowned designer Ms. Park Sang Hee were featured on the runway during the fashion show and the guests were mesmerized by Ms. Park’s beautiful and elegant clothing that evening.
