[NEWS] Viu launches streaming service in Singapore with latest Korean Shows

Head no further if you’re looking for a platform to watch your favourite Korean dramas and variety shows! Newly launched in Singapore, Viu will be your solution to watch the latest episode of your shows with English and Chinese subtitles, as fast as 8 hours after its initial telecast in Korea.

Welcoming onboard the top four Korean broadcasters – SBS, KBS, MBC and CJ E&M, the video streaming service will have exclusive window and rights to 95% of the content providers’ latest telecast dramas and variety shows, including the current hit drama Moorim School (starring Lee Hyun Woo, Lee Hong Bin, Seo Ye Ji and Jung Yoo Jin) and upcoming drama Descendants of the Sun (starring Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo).

Besides dramas, viewers can also catch their favourite variety shows such as Running Man, We Got Married, The Return of Superman, Infinite Challenge, as well as popular music programs like SBS Inkigayo and Music Bank via Viu.

Once you have registered using your Facebook account, Viu will automatically detect the progress of your viewing so that you can continue watching from where you stopped.

Viu is currently operating as a freemium service that provides viewers the option of a basic tier with free access to the service, and a paid subscription premium tier with more enhanced features and benefits, which will be launched at a later date in conjunction with Singtel, the exclusive telecommunications partner for premium service.
