[Food Review] Chill Out With An Amazing View At Artemis Bar & Grill

Looking for a fresh new place to chill rather than the usual bars and pubs you frequent? Artemis Bar and Grill is located on the 40th floor of CapitaGreen, a commercial building in the heart of the busy business district in Raffles Place. They offer a picturesque view of the skyline and Marina Bay Sands, an array of smooth cocktails and scrumptious bar snacks to enjoy the view with.

They recently received a new Bar Manager, Rico Deang, who was previously leading the bar team at CUT by Wolfgang Puck at Marina Bay Sands. He meticulously mixed three cocktails which were part of his new cocktail menu at the launch, and showed much flair and skill.

The one cocktail that stood out among the three was the Eastern Promise, which consists of Sherry and Peaty Whiskies, rosemary, Becherovka and lemon. The rosemary is slightly roasted with a blowtorch, and its fragrance blends excellently with the whisky, and yet still tastes seductively smooth.

The next cocktail is called Beautiful Sour and consists of gin, Bergamot and sparkling wine. Though it tasted fruity and refreshing, the cocktail feels slightly diluted and the flavors did not shine through.

The last cocktail we tasted was definitely the most exquisite, the Lota Bell. It consists of passion fruit tea infused vodka, Demerara and lime. Passion fruit lovers will thoroughly enjoy this drink, and the combination of sweet and sour flavors will stimulate your taste buds in a savourable fashion.

We also got to try their Mediterranean-style bar snacks, which are made using organic sources and bring out the flavors of coastal Spain, Italy and Greece.

These ice-cold, Freshly Shucked Oysters will bring you the taste of the ocean from either France or Ireland, absolutely delicious and not too overpowering, each one will leave you reeling in delight!

The Fried Olives dipped in green chilli sauce and yoghurt are a great combination, the yoghurt off-setting the greasiness and the green chilli complementing the olives. These crispy and juicy spheres of wonder are pretty irresistible and you just can’t stop at one!

The Harissa Prawns are without a doubt one of the most recommended bar snacks. The prawns are rich in flavor and even dipped in spiced citrus aioli, each one intertwined with a tangy and spicy relish. They’re sure to leave you with a lip-smacking experience!

Last and definitely not the least is the Blackmore Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, which is actually part of the dinner a la carte menu. Sprinkled with pickled girolles, caper berries and aged balsamic vinegar, this is beef like you’ve never tasted before! Each bite was succulent and bursting with flavor, and beef-lovers should not miss out on this!

Artemis Grill is open for lunch on weekdays and dinner from Monday to Saturday nights. The Artemis Bar operates from 5pm until late from Mondays to Saturdays.

The bar is suitable for a chill nights out with a panoramic view, and there is actually a 100 year old Spanish Olive Tree(which is not where their olives are from) centering the bar, and also a lush sky garden.
