CNBLUE’s Lee Jung-shin was invited as a special guest and judge for the annual KBS K-Pop World Festival (Singapore Preliminary) which took place at Our Tampines Hub on 5 August 2017.
The singer was here in Singapore for the recent KBS Music Bank World Tour with his CNBLUE members as well as other K-pop acts like SHINee, BTS, Red Velvet and Mamamoo, with the concert co-hosted by Park Bo Gum & Irene from Red Velvet.
Earlier last month, CNBLUE just held their [Between Us] Asia Tour in Singapore and Jung-shin shared that the band is currently busy with the preparations for the upcoming tour in cities like Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taipei.
After wrapping up his recent drama My Sassy Girl, Jung-shin revealed that he is preparing for CNBLUE’s new album as well as another possible drama comeback.
When asked to share about his idol journey, the singer confessed that being an idol is definitely challenging, but he has absolutely no regrets pursuing his dream as lots of happy memories were created during this journey.
And his advice to aspiring dancers and singers?
“To enjoy the stage and gain lots of experience.” — Lee Jungshin
The Singapore preliminary round was concluded with H.I.M and Akif Haliq emerging as winners for the dance and vocal category respectively. They will move on to participate in the next round of online judging, representing Singapore in the competition against their international counterparts.
All shortlisted preliminary finalists from the various countries will be flown to South Korea to experience the Korean culture and may even have the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in Korean Pop Music industry like TWICE and BTS.
