The annual Seoul Lantern Festival has returned at the Cheonggyecheon Stream in Seoul! If you are traveling to Seoul soon, don’t miss the spectacular illuminations which will be on display until 19 November 2017.
Be captivated by the 21 different themes of lightings, as well as the special lighting displays for the upcoming Winter Olympics, where visitors will get “A glimpse into PyeongChang 2018 through the lanterns in Seoul“, the slogan for this year’s lantern festival.

Here’s a glimpse into what you can expect at the Seoul Lantern Festival:





Aside from the lighting displays, visitors can also participate in hands-on activities such as decorating the lanterns* with their wishes and setting them afloat along the Cheonggyecheon Stream (*lanterns are available at 3,000 won each). There are also VR (virtual reality) experiences, live portrait-drawing by artists, several food trucks throughout the venue and more. Don’t miss it!
