Seoul Yummy is back with a brand new look and menu to feast your tummies happy — 30 new dishes were added to the menu, each with a modern twist on traditional Korean cuisine. We recently made a visit to their new outlet at SingPost Centre, whose interior stands out with its vibrant pop art-style pictures and colours. Their new dishes were a pleasant streak of surprises, each with a unique facade.

The Spam Rice Balls were a bundle of joy. With crispy fried spam and delightful hints of tobiko, each rice ball felt wholesome. You can even choose either white or brown rice, just in case you feel like eating healthy!

As creative as it sounds, the Return of Wagyu is a Korean Army Stew with an upgrade of wagyu beef slices. The ordinary stew is instantly uplifted with the presence of wagyu beef, and the heartwarming gravy also makes for a great addition to rice, with the common comfort-food ingredients you find in Army Stew.

Odeng Guk is a refreshing addition to the menu, similar to Japanese Oden. The guilt-free ingredients are doused in a satisfying bonito broth. Common ingredients like tofu, fish cakes and radish were used, which didn’t exactly add up to its price point, but makes for a good comforting dish especially on rainy days.

Something that cheese lovers would crave for, the Hyeong Cheese Pot contains a generous portion of beef ribs drenched in fragrant soy garlic sauce. The core of this dish is the blanket of mozzarella and cheddar cheese that comes with it. You can perform the renowned cheese-pull with this dish and savour the tender beef! This dish is limited daily, so be sure to get it early when you visit!

If you’re looking for some variety, the Goong Pot has it all. It contains a mixture of octopus, five types of mushrooms and many more seafood ingredients. You can even choose from chicken, pork belly or bulgogi beef!

Let’s talk about dessert. Seoul Yummy introduces the new Ko Ko Pop dessert, for all chocolate-lovers out there! Topped with crunchy blocks of wafer and showered in cocoa puffs, every bite is a cooling blast of chocolate.

Also, Mr. Bibimbab is a classic bingsu dessert you definitely cannot judge by its appearance. The wide spread of fruits makes for a fruity paradise!
