[K-Movie] Unleash Your Need for Speed with “Hit-and-Run Squad” – Out in Singapore Cinemas 28 February

Like things fast and furious? Then Hit-and-Run Squad is a film that is sure to give you all the chills and thrills you love. This film depicts an exhilarating cat-and-mouse chase between a hit-and-run police squad and an influential speed maniac that’s up to no good.

The lineup features popular actors such as Kong Hyo-jin, Cho Jong-seok, and Ryu Jun-yeol, all of which are familiar faces to the silver and television screens. On top of having such a stellar main cast, veteran actress Yum Jung-ah and SHINee’s Kim Ki-bum (Key) will also be making a quick appearance in this highly anticipated film.

Kong Hyo-jin is a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Prior to this, she has taken part in Crush and Blush (2008), The Producers (2015) and more.

With an impressive filmography covering a wide variety of genres that showcases her versatility, anticipations are high as she now takes on the role of an elite police officer who has been demoted to the hit-and-run squad.

Acting alongside her is yet another talented actor, Cho Jong-seok, whom Kong Hyo-jin has acted with before in the hit TV series, Jealousy Incarnate (2016). Their onscreen chemistry is definitely not to be missed.

Known famously for his comical acting in Architecture 101 (2012) and My Annoying Brother (2016), fans will be in for a surprise as he takes on the role of an antagonistic businessman for the first time.

Lastly, joining the formidable duo of actors is rising star Ryu Jun-yeol, who has made a name for himself after acting in popular TV series Reply 1988 (2015) and in the film A Taxi Driver (2017). He will take on the role of being the youngest member in the police squad who has a knack for all things speedy.

Hit-and-Run Squad is directed by acclaimed director Han Jun-hee. Previously, he has won Best New Director (Film) at the 52^nd Baeksang Arts Award for a work released in 2015, titled Coin Locker Girl. Hit-and-Run Squad will the first film he releases since receiving that prestigious honor. Prior to this, he assisted in movies such as Hwayi: A Monster Boy (2013) and To Bite A Cigarette (2015).

Film Synopsis

Min-jae (RYU Jun-yeol), a rookie police officer with a natural born talent for driving, is assigned to the perfect team: the Hit-and-Run Squad. But at the same time, for police detective Si-yeon (KONG Hyo-jin), it is a place she is unjustly demoted to for doing her job. The two team up to arrest the rich and powerful speed maniac Jae-chul (CHO Jung-seok) who is suspected of committing crimes for his obsession for speed.
