1) Soul Mechanic / 영혼수선공

Jung So Min and Shin Ha Kyun will be returning with a new medical drama, Soul Mechanic, which follows the stories of psychiatrists and their patients. Unlike the medical dramas we’ve seen before, this upcoming one aims to share a heartwarming story to erase the negative view that people have for those with mental health issues.

Instead of ‘treating’ patients, the doctors in this drama will try to cure and heal people of their emotional wounds or psychiatric conditions, sharing a message of comfort with viewers.

2) Oh My Baby / 오 마이 베이비

The queen of ratings, Jang Nara is back with another romantic-comedy drama this season. This time, her character Jang Ha-ri is a 39-year-old single woman who’s a workaholic her whole life. Without getting into any romantic relationship in the past decade, she has long ago abandoned hopes in looking for love, but instead channeled her life focusing on her career.

Jang Ha-ri works as a senior reporter for a parenting magazine and she dreams of having a baby of her own but, without getting married. However, one day she suddenly realises that she has three men in her radar and soon becomes involved with them — paediatrician Yoon Jae-Young (Park Byung Eun), freelance photographer Han Yi-sang (Go Joon), and rookie employee Choi Kang-Eu-Ddeum (Jung Gun Joo).

3) Old School Intern / 꼰대인턴

‘Old School Intern’ is set to premiere this May with Park Hae Jin and Han Ji Eun leading the office comedy, whose story revolves around the encounter of an employee and his former boss.

Ka Yeol-chan (Park Hae Jin) left his first job and moved to a new company after a miserable time with his former boss who’s a “Kkondae” (rigid and old school person). He works his way up the ladder and was promoted quickly to become the chief of the sales and marketing department. However, one day his former boss shows up at his company and got hired as a senior age intern. Ka Yeol-chan tries to get his sweet revenge on his former boss, who used to give him a hard time in his first job.

4) Mystic Pop-up Bar / 쌍갑포차

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, ‘Mystic Pop-up Bar’ tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor tented food stall) run by Woo-Joo (Hwang Jung Eum), which only operates at night on the rooftop of a building.

What’s interesting about this food stall is that its customers comprise both the humans and the dead. Yook Sung Jae, who plays a part-timer in this fantasy drama, crosses path with Woo-Joo and the two team up to visit customers in their dreams and try to resolve their problems.

5) Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation / 번외수사

Starring Cha Tae Hyun and Lee Sun Bin, this upcoming crime action drama investigates on unsolved cases where a detective and a PD of a TV investigative program work together to catch criminals that police have failed to apprehend.

Cha Tae Hyun plays the role of Jin Kang Ho, a detective from the serious crime squad who will never give up on any case until he gets to the end of it. Whereas Lee Sun Bin plays Kang Moo-Young, an upright PD who takes risks to seek justice and reveal the truth by all means.

6) Shall We Eat Dinner Together? / 저녁 같이 드실래요

Based on a webtoon of the same name, this drama is about the story of a man and a woman who have closed themselves off to romance after experiencing painful heartbreaks in the past. After their first unexpected meeting, they began to meet weekly for dinner together and start to rediscover love over food.

‘Shall We Eat Dinner Together’ stars Song Seung Heon and Seo Ji Hye as the main leads, whose unexpected meeting blossomed into an unusual friendship in the drama, as they slowly open up to each other through their weekly dinner meetings.
