Hallyu Star Song Joong-ki Surprises with A Greeting Video for the SG Cares Giving Week Movement

In support of the SG Cares Giving Week movement, Hallyu star Song Joong-ki surprised local fans with a recorded video message to lend his support and encourage the spirit of giving. The week-long movement takes place from 1st to 7th December, where individuals, organisations and businesses come together for a good cause to help those in need.

“I hope you can enjoy the happiest week through volunteering works with warm hearts,” said the actor.

Other Korean stars such as Leo from K-pop boy group VIXX and Hyelim, former member of Wonder Girls, have also expressed their support for the movement through congratulatory videos.

Launched by President Halimah Yacob on 1st December, the SG Cares Giving Week is organised in partnership with the SG Cares Office, the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), and the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).

His Excellency Ahn Young-jip, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, added that he hopes to further deepen the bilateral friendship between Singapore and Korea through people-to-people exchanges. The Korean Embassy in Singapore is a supporting partner of the campaign.
