1. Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist (1st August, 2022)

The upcoming K-Drama ‘Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist’, is based on a novel that goes by the same name. In 2016 Korea Story Contest, the novel won the Excellence Award. The narrative deals with the story of an excellent psychiatrist Yoo Se Poong (Kim Min-Jae), whose abilities were well-known.

He was dismissed from the Royal Court, nonetheless, as a result of his involvement in a scheme against the Royal Court. After that, he begins working in Gyesu Village, a bizarre but beautiful village. Yoo Se Poong crosses path with Seo Eun-Woo (Kim Hyang-Gi) and Gye Ji-Han (Kim Sang-Kyung). He starts treating the physical as well as the mental pains of the people. This drama will premiere on tvN and be available for streaming on Viu.

2. If You Wish Upon Me (10th August, 2022)

If You Wish Upon Me’ is an upcoming medical K-Drama whose story is inspired by the series Ambulance Wish Foundation. Yoon Gyeo Re (Ji Chang Wook) faced many hurdles in life. His childhood was spent in an orphanage and he also served at the Juvenile Detention Center and prison. He struggles to have a daily life. Due to an event, he begins volunteering at a hospice. He works with his team leader Kang Tae Shik (Sung Dong Il) and Nurse Seo Yeon Joo (Choi Soo Young).

The drama will release its first episode on 10th August and it will have 16 episodes. You can also stream it on Viu every Wednesday and Thursday, same day as Korea.

3. A Model Family (12th August, 2022)

A Model Family’ narrates the story of an ordinary breadwinner that is on the verge of collapse due to bankruptcy and internal feuds. The family gets involved with a bloodthirsty drug ring. As they take their stand against the drug ring that threatens their livelihood, the dysfunctional family joins hands to act like a model family.

A Model Family hits Netflix on 12th August and it stars Jung Woo, Park Hee-soon, Yoon Jin-seo, Park Ji-yeon and more.

4. Stock Struck (12th August, 2022)

Stock Struck revolves around the story of five people who are involved in stocks investment. They participate in a stock meeting together and learn about life, love, and friendships. This drama stars Hong Jong-hyun, Han Ji-eun, Jung Moon-sung, Kim Sun-young and Jang Gwang. It also marks the drama comeback of Hong Jong-hyun, who plays Choi Sun-woo, a part-timer at a convenience store. He has a traumatic experience dealing with stocks, but when he meets the bubbly Yoo Mi-seo (Han Ji Eun), his quiet life begins to turn upside down. This drama premieres on 12th August via TVING.

5. The Law Café (*5th September, 2022)

The Law Café’ is a South Korean television series that is set to release on 5th September (*updated) 29th August, running every Monday and Tuesday on KBS2. It depicts the story a former prosecutor, Kim Jeong-Ho (Lee Seung Gi), who is currently working as a building owner. Kim Yu Ri (Lee Se Young) is an attorney who fights against injustice of any type. Based on the popular web novel “Love According to the Law”, the story follows the events happening in law firm that also runs a café.
