Blackpink’s Jisoo is slated to make her official solo debut on 31 Mar (Fri), after previous confirmations that filming for the “music video had begun overseas,” according to her label YG Entertainment.

The 28 year-old vocalist shared a teaser post on her official Instagram handle. “We’ll meet soon,” she wrote in Korean.

She is the last Blackpink member to make her official solo debut. Her bandmate Jennie was the first to do so with Solo (2018).

In 2021, her two other bandmates Rosé and Lisa also launched their individual solo debuts with On The Ground (2021) and Lalisa (2021) respectively.

While Blackpink promotes mainly as a quartet and has their signature style, each solo debut was vastly different in terms of musicality and concept.

Rosé’s track centred heavily on her vocals and leaned on the sentimental side, more like an introspection of oneself.

Meanwhile, Lisa raps about herself in her eponymous number. Jennie was unapologetically herself, telling the world she still shines even when she’s alone.

Blackpink is still currently on tour, playing their Born Pink World Tour in various Asian countries in March before taking a break in May.

While Jisoo has not officially made her solo debut, she performs some solo stages in the show, covering Camila Cabello’s Liar (2019).

The quartet will also be performing a two-day show in Singapore’s National Stadium in May.
