Suga: Road to D-Day marks yet another milestone for the titular star, Suga. It will be the BTS member’s first documentary of his own.

Real name Min Yoon-gi, he is the second member of the K-pop powerhouse to have an individual documentary. His bandmate j-hope made his documentary debut earlier this year in February.

Fans can expect to gain some insights into the life of the Grammy-nominated rapper.

He will bring viewers along his road trip, from Seoul to Las Vegas and beyond, in search of musical inspiration for his very first solo album, titled D-Day.

The documentary will also explore his triumphs, vulnerabilities and struggles as a musician.

It is expected to cover more personal topics like his writer’s block and trauma. For Suga, he thereafter uses them as an inspiration for him to pen lyrics.

An exclusive look into live performances of the songs in the album is also part of the watching experience.

The 30 year-old rapper dropped his lead single from the album just last week, on 7 Apr (Fri). The track, People Pt. 2 (2023), marked his second collaboration with K-pop sweetheart IU.

Separately, he is also gearing up for his first ever global tour, titled after, well, himself. Three shows will be held here in Singapore, running from 16 Jun (Fri) to 18 Jun (Sun) at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Tickets to the three shows are all sold out shortly after they were released for sale.

Ahead of the release of his documentary, viewers can wait it out by enjoying other BTS films available on Disney+. This includes BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – LA,  j-hope In The Box and In The Soop: Friendcation.

Mark your calendars for the release of Suga: Road to D-Day on 21 Apr.
