British footwear brand Dr. Martens recently teamed up with BT21 for a limited edition collection release.
K-pop supergroup BTS created BT21, a series of Line Friends (now IPX) characters back in 2017. They are a series of animated characters conceptualised by the septet.
The collection will include the footwear brand’s iconic 1460 8-eye boot, 1461 3-eye shoe, 2976 Chelsea boot, and a matching Box Backpack.
These shoes will include doodle-style illustrations of BT21 characters — such as Koya, RJ, Shooky, Mang, Chimmy, Tata, and Cooky. It adds a playful twist to Dr. Martens’ timeless classics.
And presents them in a new light, with a unique charm.

It also incorporates graffiti-inspired sketches into its classic designs. This collection celebrates creativity in all its forms and appeals to the varied tastes of contemporary youth culture.
It’s a must-have for anyone who values self-expression and individuality.
Prior to the collaboration, BTS members are also fans of the British footwear brand. Sharp-eyed fans have previously caught them wearing Dr. Martens footwear for various shoots.
The limited edition collection has been on sale since 30 Mar. Its prices ranged from US$140 to US$190 (S$185 to S$250).
As of time of writing, the Dr. Martens X BT21 collection has already been sold out on its website.
