An official statement wrote: “We regret to inform you that Chenle will not be able to participate in NCT Dream Tour ‘The Dream Show 2: In A Dream’ in Manila & Singapore due to health conditions”.

The Manila leg of the tour is happening this weekend, from 29 Apr (Sat) to 30 Apr (Sun). They will continue their schedules with another show in Singapore on 1 May (Mon).

The band’s agency SM Entertainment did not elaborate further on what exactly happened to the Shanghai-born member. But they revealed that the 21 year-old singer had “symptoms of cold and body aches”.

Some fans suspect that it might be a case of Covid-19, as it’s the sick season lately. There is also a spike in cases in Asia recently.

“We ask for your understanding as Chenle takes enough rest to attend the Macau performance scheduled for 13 and 14 May”, the agency added in Korean.

Recently, his labelmate Joy of Red Velvet also left the Singapore performance which took place last Friday (21 Apr) midway. She was later revealed to be unwell.

Separately, retail platform Konshop will be setting up a NCT Dream pop-up store in Singapore ahead of their show.

The pop-up store will run for a total of five days, from this Friday (28 Apr) to next Tuesday (2 May).
