American fashion house Calvin Klein recently teamed up with Blackpink’s Jennie for a new capsule collection.
The collection features a subtle pastel color palette — in lilac, chalk blue and desert hues for instance.
Named Jennie for Calvin Klein, the collection draws inspiration from the 27 year-old singer’s personal wardrobe.

The new collection comprises casual underwear sets, denim pieces, T-shirts and knitwear. It’s not too lavish and over-the-top.
Instead, it’s fitting for casual day-to-day wear.
We last saw Jennie give us a sneak peek of the collection at the rehearsals for their headlining act at Coachella.
Weeks later, Calvin Klein made an official announcement for the launch of the capsule collection on Instagram.

The brand shared several photos of the collection on 4 May (Thu), photographed by South Korean photographer Hong Jang-hyun.
For Jennie, “collaborating with Calvin Klein on this capsule has been an exciting progression in our partnership,” she said in a statement.
“This collection reflects my everyday style and is based on many of the Calvin Klein essentials that have become staples in my wardrobe. I wanted to bring a personal touch to these pieces, which you’ll see reflected in the fit, the color palette and the details,” she added.

There’s one thing, though, that she’d like the public to take away from the collection. It’s to “feel as happy and confident in these pieces as I do.”
A look at other Calvin Klein ambassadors
Calvin Klein previously worked with other K-pop artists, like Lay Zhang. He was the brand’s first Chinese global spokesperson.
Thereafter, other stars like footballer Son Heung-min and singer HyunA have joined the ranks of the brand’s ambassador list.
More recently, BTS’ Jungkook was named brand ambassador for Calvin Klein. And he starred in the brand’s 2023 Spring campaign.
The Jennie X Calvin Klein collaboration will arrive in stores globally and on the online shop from 10 May (Wed).
