EXO’s Chanyeol opens personal YouTube channel, features Kai in first video

Rapper of South Korean boy band EXO, Chanyeol, now has his own YouTube channel.

Born Park Chan-yeol, he’s quite the charismatic rapper on stage. But it turns out that the 30-year-old idol is pretty coy when it comes to filming YouTube videos.

Especially since he’s doing it alone, only with the company of his fur baby, Zzar.

He later called on entertainer Jang Sung-kyu for help. His bandmate Kai also appeared in the first video on his channel.

To kick things off, Chanyeol notes down a list of activities he wants to attempt on his newly-created channel: biking, composing a piece of background music, camping etc.

He also spent some time deciding on the official name of his channel. Before opening his personal YouTube channel, Chanyeol had another channel titled NNG, dedicated to his music and other lifestyle vlogs. Some EXO members are also occasionally spotted in those videos.

The channel now has a total of 1.7 million subscribers.

Separately, Chanyeol previously played a fan meet at The Star Theatre last month with bandmate Sehun for the Singapore leg of the duo’s Back to Back fan-con tour.

They also revealed that EXO will be coming back with a new album soon, and the duo confirmed that “they’re working on it”.
