K-pop boy band ZEROBASEONE, or ZB1 in short, is making their debut with a mini album come July.

The band shared the news In an Instagram post posted on their official handle.

“Coming soon, stay tuned,” the poster wrote. Some other text in the visual appears to have been flipped deliberately.

ZEROBASEONE is a nine-piece band, formed from Mnet’s survival reality programme Boys Planet. The 12-episode series is a sequel to another reality show Girls Planet 999.

This time though, the programme only features male participants. And the top nine contestants will then make it into a boy band, now named ZB1.

They are Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook and Han Yu-jin.

They are currently under Wake One Entertainment, the entertainment label arm of CJ ENM.

Despite not having made their official debut yet, the boys are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Recently, ZB1 played to the crowd at this year’s edition of KCON Japan, held at Chiba’s Makuhari Messe.

They performed tracks from Boys Planet like the programme’s theme song Here I Am (2023). And Say My Name (2023), a synth-pop track used in the programme during their battles.
