South Korean singer-songwriter Shaun to perform in S’pore at Sundown Festival 2023

Korean singer-songwriter Shaun will join a slew of Asian acts, like Jam Hsiao, Namewee and Kim Lee for the upcoming Sundown Festival.

South Korean singer-songwriter Shaun will be playing at the upcoming Sundown Festival.

This year’s edition of the festival will take place in mid-August, on 12 and 13 August 2023 at the Pasir Panjang Power Station.

Born Kim Yun-ho, the 33-year-old is known for his tracks usually heard in outdoor festivals and clubs — like Way Back Home (2018) and Bad Habits (2019).

The two-day festival will also feature headlining acts like Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jam Hsiao.

Other Asian talents, like Bling Empire (2021) star Kim Lee and Malaysia-born rapper Namewee will also be staging performances.

The festival will also see other international special guest DJs like R3HAB. The Dutch-Moroccan DJ previously dropped remixes of K-pop hits like (G)I-DLE’s Tomboy (2022) and TWICE’s Scientist (2021).

Before the pandemic, the 2019 edition of the Sundown Festival saw iKON take centre stage. The boy band brought the house down with a series of live performances. And more than 20,000 visitors turned up to party at the 3-day festival.

The Sundown Festival is the brainchild of Singaporean duo Kelvin Goh and Samantha Chan.

“Rooted in our belief in Asia’s over-abundance of talent, our singular objective has always been about bridging Asia’s cultural diversity,” Goh said.

Tickets to the upcoming festival will go on sale a week from now, on 20 June (Tue).

Early bird tickets for a two-day pass will get a 25% discount and they go at S$192. This includes two drinks: Chang Beer/soft drinks. On the other hand, festival-goers who wish to purchase a one-day pass, go at S$128.

The early bird promotions run from 20 June to 15 July.

Tickets at the door will cost S$180. All tickets can be bought via Klook.
