
TWICE’s leader, Jihyo, has officially announced her highly-anticipated solo debut.
Born Park Ji-soo, the 26-year-old vocalist trained with entertainment label JYP Entertainment for a total of ten years since eight, before she made her debut.
Coming soon on August 18 (Fri), Jihyo’s first solo mini album titled Zone marks a significant milestone. It will make her the second member of TWICE to embark on an official solo journey, following in the footsteps of bandmate Nayeon.
Nayeon, the eldest among the nine members, is the first to drop her solo track.
She released he first album IM NAYEON (2022) last year, headed by her title number Pop (2022). The bubblegum track had lively beats, fitting for her bubbly self. Some key choreography in the track also went wild, setting off a trend of fans learning the dance.

Adding to the anticipation for Jihyo’s upcoming solo release, her label unveiled a cryptic teaser. It left fans intrigued and eager to delve into the album’s concept.
A previous teaser also depicted Jihyo elegantly touching up her lipstick in a rearview mirror. It also states the title of her title number, Killin’ Me Good.

During some stops of their ongoing of their fifth world tour Ready to Be, some members have also cheekily offered spoilers for her solo debut.
They will also be coming to Singapore soon for the Singapore leg of the world tour. The two-day show will be held later in early September, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Given that Jihyo’s solo track would have been released by then, fan can expect to hear her perform the track live, if changes are made to the setlist.
