There has been quite a bit of news around the cast of Squid Game of late.
Previously, Netflix shared that four new actors will be in the series. They are Kang Ha-neul, Im Si-wan, Park Sung-hoon and Yang Dong-geun.
These cast members were announced at Netflix’s fan event Tudum last month, held in São Paulo, Brazil.
Today (29 Jun), the streaming giant released a press statement, unveiling the final line-up of the cast for Squid Game 2.
The upcoming season of the well-loved series will see two idols — namely BIGBANG’s Choi Seung-hyun, or T.O.P, as he’s more widely known. And former IZ*ONE member Jo Yu-ri, who’s now a soloist, will also be a part of the series.

Other additional cast members include Park Gyu-young (Sweet Home), Kang Ae-sim (Move to Heaven), Roh Jae-won (Missing Yoon) and Won Ji-an (D.P).
Notably, Lee David, who met Lee Jung-jae, the main lead of the series, through another separate film, will also join the cast ensemble.
Actor Lee Jin-uk will also star in the second season of Squid Game. He previously acted in Netflix’s Sweet Home (2020).
The 41-year-old actor is also acquainted with Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk from his 2014 film Miss Granny.

The streaming giant also previously confirmed that familiar faces in the series will be coming back in Squid Game 2.
This includes Lee Jung-jae and the game mastermind Lee Byung-hun. Wi Ha-jun, who plays a cop in the series, will also return with Gong Yoo.

The second season, like the first, will be directed by Emmy winner director Hwang Dong-hyuk.
A date has not been set for the second season of the highly-anticipated series.
