You might just be able to catch a glimpse of Korean actor Hyun Bin anytime you like in Singapore now. The 40-year-old actor has just got his first-ever wax figure, now in Madame Tussauds Singapore.
The South Korean actor will join the ranks of other famous celebrities at the wax museum like Leonardo DiCaprio and Nicole Kidman.
According to a press statement, Hyun Bin’s wax figure took “over six months to create, with a team of expert sculptors and artists working tirelessly to ensure that every detail was perfect”.
But there’s something more intriguing — fans can feel its heart beating if they go near the wax figure. This is an attempt to bring his figure to life, through “combining technology with wax”.
On launching his own figurine, he said: “I’m so excited to finally be able to reveal my wax figure to fans from all around the world”.
Hyun Bin is easily one of the few revered actors in the K-drama realm. To date, he has played many iconic characters, like Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok in Crash Landing on You (2019-2020) and kidnapper Min Tae-gu in The Negotiation (2018).
Interestingly, he teamed up with actress Son Ye-jin for both works. And she now happens to be his wife, morphing their onscreen romance into offscreen affection for each other.
Separately, fans can also look out for other Korean stars in Madame Tussauds Singapore. They include actors Lee Jong-suk and Song Seung-heon, as well as, Bae Suzy, informally known as the “nation’s first love”.
