Sungha Jung to return to Singapore after five years for his fingerstyle guitar concert

South Korean musician Sungha Jung will be returning to Singapore after five years. This time, it will be for his Singapore showcase.

September is looking to be an exciting and super-packed month, with various celebrities visiting Singapore then.

Twice and Ateez will be holding concerts while Jackson Wang is part of the entertainment line-up for F1. Sungha Jung is next on this list. 

The 26-year-old fingerstyle artist will perform on 23 Sep (Sat) at Gateway Theatre. He promises a memorable experience for his fans who will be attending his concert.

Fans can expect to be serenaded by his renditions of various songs across an array of genres ranging from pop and jazz to classical music.

Jung is a familiar name and face to many, particularly in the digital sphere. You may have stumbled upon this skilful guitarist while scrolling through YouTube.

He has got a whopping 7.1 million followers on Youtube and he collaborated with global stars like Jason Mraz, Big Bang, Tommy Emmanuel and Sam Tsui. He’s probably the most successful fingerstyle artist worldwide.

Jung specialises in acoustic fingerstyle guitar, creating one sound by combining bass, melody and rhythm.

This is usually played by various individuals but his unique style of playing the guitar allows him to achieve this feat all by himself.

Fans can expect to witness this live and be impressed by Jung’s delivery of a variety of songs.

Tickets start from S$68 via Sistic. And those who purchase the VIP tickets at $118 will also receive an autographed album and have a chance to be up close with Sung-ha through a photo session.
