(G)I-DLE to bring I Am Free-Ty World Tour to Singapore on 29 Oct

Singapore is added to the list of stops for (G)I-DLE’s ongoing world tour. The Singapore show will happen on 29 Oct (Sun), at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

They also added a stop in Macau, according to the newly-released tour scheduler.

Titled I Am Free-Ty, this is the quintet’s second world tour. Their first one, the Just Me ()I-dle tour, ran for five months from last June to October.

Then, Singapore was their last stop on the tour. And it appears that this will be the case for the coming tour as well.

(G)I-DLE played at The Star Theatre then. And they will be staging their upcoming show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The charismatic five-piece band has been churning out earworms quite often. But tracks from their recent album, like Queencard (2023) and Allergy (2023) saw a huge surge of mainstream traction.

It’s not just the music itself that’s getting them so much love from fans. It’s also the message that these tunes are sending.

Mostly self-composed, the band’s recent tunes talk a lot about being oneself, insecurities and struggles the typical Joe face in the present social media era. It’s a theme that resonated with many listeners.

Come October, fans can expect to hear these tunes live. But they can also look forward to a particular segment by the band.

In their recent Taipei leg of the tour, the band covered Mandopop earworm Miss You 3000 (2020). 

At their Bangkok leg last weekend, they presented a live rendition of First Love (2023), an OST from the Thai film My Precious.

Despite their ongoing tour, the quintet is still hard at work. They will make their stateside debut soon with an upcoming album Heat.

Before the official arrival of the album, they also dropped a new song I do (2023) in July.

Seated tickets to the show start at S$178, while standing ones start at S$288.

Various VIP packages are available as well, including the Free-ty Neverland, Free-ty Love and Free-ty Queen packages.

The packages will consist of a standing ticket, priority entry, VIP landyard and wristband, access to the soundcheck party and a separate merchandise queue.

Depending on the type of package, fans will either receive a mystery photocard, get their landyard signed by the girls or be part of the hi-touch session.

Tickets go on sale on 6 Sep (Tue) at 12PM via Ticketmaster.
