After a four-year wait from her last solo concert in Singapore, Taeyeon made a triumphant return.

The 34-year-old soloist graced the stage of the Singapore Indoor Stadium last weekend. This grand comeback was a two-night affair, serving as the crowning finale of her fifth concert tour, The ODD Of LOVE.

The South Korean vocal sensation delivered captivating and emotive performances that left fans enthralled.

The concert’s opening tune, INVU (2022), set the tone for an entrancing atmosphere. Taeyeon then graced the main stage in an elegant, flowing black gown, flanked by her six-piece live band.

Taeyeon’s setlist was a harmonious blend of songs from her third album, INVU (2022). As well as other beloved tracks from her earlier releases.

There were soulful R&B ballads like Some Nights (2022) and Heart (2022) to the upbeat disco-pop track Weekend (2021). And the arrangement of songs enabled seamless transitions between diverse moods and genres, complemented by coordinated outfit changes.

She also enchanted the audience with timeless earworms such as Four Seasons (2019), Fine (2017) and I (2015). It’s a melodious blessing to our ears, and no one would probably argue otherwise.

Taeyeon’s affectionate and heartfelt interactions with the audience were also another remarkable facet of the show.

In a charming twist, some fans even arrived adorned in costumes featuring her recent favourite fruit – bananas. It’s because during her Seoul show, Taeyeon took a few bites of a banana midway through her set. And the footage of her doing so has since been making rounds on social media.

The singer was also very much thankful for her fans. She shared that because of pandemic restrictions previously, she was not able to perform or tour. And that resulted in a significant blow to her self-esteem.

“But through this time, you help me understand what my job is and what it is that I really love. So, you are precious individuals whose presence I am so grateful for, and (I) want to make (you) happy,” she said.
