The duo will manage the agency together as co-CEOs. Super Junior’s manager Won Yong-sun, who is a tenured staff, will be joining them on board.
Donghae and Eunhyuk will continue to collaborate with their long-term agency, SM Entertainment for all activities pertaining to Super Junior even after they part ways.
Additionally, they have also departed from SM Entertainment after 17 years of partnership. Fellow Super Junior member Kyuhyun had also left the agency to join Antenna, a music agency founded by You Hee-yeol.
Industry insiders stated that Donghae and Eunhyuk’s contracts ended as of 31 Aug this year. They also added that both Super Junior members have formally stepped into their positions as co-CEOs at the beginning of this month.
Both Donghae and Eunhyuk will continue individual activities and their duo (D&E) promotions under ODE Entertainment. An industry source also stated that the pair has plans to talent source for new artists to join them after the company is completely set up.
“Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Kyuhyun will be continuing their Super Junior promotions together with SM,” said SM Entertainment. “We will be cheering the three of them on as they take on new challenges. And we plan to communicate closely with them so that they can effectively carry out both their group activities and their solo activities at the same time.”
In other D&E news, the duo will be stopping by Singapore on 8 Nov. It will be part of their fan concert World Tour aptly titled the DElight Party.
