South Korean singer-songwriter Shaun is back in Singapore.

His last trip here was less than a month ago. Then, he played at the two-day Sundown Festival, where his set was more focused him DJing and mixing tracks to the live audience.

Yesterday (12 Sep), at the Warner Music Presents showcase, as part of Music Matters Live 2023, he showcased more of his singer-songwriter side.

Shaun’s singer-songwriter side

In his 15-minute set, he performed a short setlist of four songs, which included many of his hit sounds.

They were songs like the English track Lunisolar (2017), Closed Ending (2021), Bad Habits (2019) and Way Back Home (2018).

The audience, a mix of his fans and delegates of the All That Matters 2023 conference, were grooving along to his bright, rhythmic and mesmerising tunes.

As Shaun switched between songs, he said: “In the coming future, I plan to show you more of the singer-songwriter side of me”, which had fans screaming with anticipation.

Coming back for a full concert

To reciprocate the love that his Singapore fans have given him during his shows, he teased at the possibility of holding a full concert in Singapore in the future.

“I promise I will come back really soon,” he said.

Before performing Way Back Home, he briefly introduced the song. “I want to sing this song to pay back all the love it received way back, since 2018”.

True to his words, he was all about giving back the love his fans have given him for his music. Nearing the end of the set, he got offstage to interact with his fans up close, posing for photos with them, separated only by a barricade.
