Kicking off the F1 weekend with a high were entertainment acts like Jackson Wang, XG, and Bibi. They performed alongside other 88 Rising artists like Rich Brian, Niki and Milli.
They were performing at the Padang Stage yesterday (15 Sep), which saw the entire field transformed into a mega outdoor stage, complete with mosh pits.
XG: A set that exuded youthfulness
XG was the first act to kick off the second segment of the three-segment entertainment show. Performing at the Padang stage, they told fans that this was their first time playing in Singapore.

Based in South Korea, the seven-piece band is a Japanese girl group.
They brought some of their top hits live to F1, like Mascara (2022), TGIF (2023), New Dance (2023).

It was their youthful, catchy and upbeat performances of other tracks like Shooting Star (2022) and Left Right (2023) that drew the loudest cheers in their set.
BIBI: Charming performer with off-the-wall humour
It’s evident that BIBI has definitely put some thought into her outfit. She appeared on stage in a racer girl outfit, perfect for a performance at F1.

Like XG, she performed some of the most popular tracks in her discography. These are numbers like BIBI Vengeance (2022), The Weekend (2021) and KAZINO (2020).
Fit for the occasion, she also played a song from her album last year, MotoSpeed 24 (2022).

Charismatic on stage, BIBI has got quite the humour too.
She incited some laughter during her attempt to introduce BIBI Vengeance. “The next song I will perform is Bad B*tch,” she said.
Immediately after, she quickly clarified that it was a slip of the tongue. “Am I going to jail?”, she asked the crowd.
Jackson Wang: The magic man’s buzzword is ‘kiasu’
Jackson Wang was the last act of the first night of performances. And it’s safe to say he ended the night with a bang.
Other than his breathtaking performances, there’s also one new thing we learned about him. His new buzzword is kiasu, a Singlish term to describe someone who has a fear of missing out.

Wang sang a total of ten songs in his set, like 100 Ways (2020) and Blow (2022), to name a few. He also performed an unreleased track.
In Wang’s performances, it’s not only his charisma, passion and stage presence that draws you in. But it’s also the detailed and innovative creative direction he has chosen.
“Find your magic,” he ended the night with a whisper.

After his individual set, he came back on stage for a short medley with 88 Rising artist Rich Brian.
