The group comprises of members Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin. Jini promoted with them up till their first comeback Entwurf (2022).

However, JYP Entertainment announced that Jini would be leaving the group due to ‘personal circumstances’ last December. They also added that her exclusive contract would be terminated.

NMIXX went on with with promotions as a sextet. This surprising news came just three days after Loewe announced that the group would be their first global ambassadors for the brand.

Fans speculated the reasons for her departure, but no official reason was announced. Before leaving, Jini was also often dubbed as the centre of the group.

For her upcoming solo project though, Jini will be changing her stage name. This is to differentiate her persona as a former member of NMIXX and her solo career. She was previously known as Jinni, but now Jini.

She is now signed under entertainment agency ATOC, which will manage her solo activities.

According to the scheduler she posted, her first EP is titled An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove.

The first sneak peek into the album will be on 18 Sep (Mon) at 12AM KST. The rest of the trailers, tracklist and concept pictures will arrive in the coming days.
