Good news: Blackpink’s Jennie will be dropping her “special single” titled You & Me on 6 Oct.
If you’ve been to any of the stops for the quartet’s Born Pink world tour, chances are that you might have heard the track live.
So it’s not all that unfamiliar after all.
During the members’ solo segments, Jennie performed her previously-released Solo (2018), as well as You & Me.

YG Entertainment confirmed the news on Wednesday (4 Oct). The entertainment label shared a visual teaser poster for the track release.
The teaser saw Jennie in an elegant red dress, together with a pigtail hairdo. She stands before a brightly lit moon, just like how she presents the song during the live shows.

It’s all fitting though, as one line in her song goes: “I love you and me/ Dancing in the moonlight”.
On the decision to release the track officially, YG Entertainment said: “We decided to officially release it out of gratitude to the fans who ardently followed and supported us during the Born Pink world tour”.
“We hope it will serve as a special memento, rekindling the emotion of that time,” it added.

Meanwhile, Jennie was last spotted at the Paris Fashion Week, for the Chanel SS24 show.
Then, she also dropped by the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris, to show support for her fellow bandmate Lisa, who was performing five shows there.
