Know of Mnet’s famous survival program, Boy’s Planet? Then you might have heard of a new boy band in town, EVNNE.
The boys debuted back in September, and they are a project boy group under Jellyfish Entertainment.
Short for Evening’s Newest Etoiles, EVNNE comprises Keita, Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Yoo Seungeon, Ji Yunseo, Mun Junghyun, and Park Jihoo. Its members all gained immense popularity through the programme.
And if you’re not acquainted with the septet just yet, here are five things you should know about them.
1. All-rounded members
Since the broadcast of Boy’s Planet, members of the EVNNE have gained recognition for being all-rounded individuals. Members can be seen performing in stages with vastly different concepts, from cute and youthful concepts to more intense and sexier ones.

This time, members participated in the making of some tracks in their debut album. Keita and Yunseo participated in the writing of Even More (2023) while Yunseo and Jeonghyeon penned lyrics for Jukebox (2023).
But the band’s youngest member Jihoo said he “hope[s] people remember us not just for our roles in the group, like main vocalist, main dancer, and main rapper”.
Instead, think of them “as an all-rounded group where every member can excel in all positions”.
2. EVNNE’s strength lies in versatility
One of EVNNE’s greatest strengths is their versatility.
This was aptly showcased in their album’s tracks, where each song had a different style and vibe.
Describing their album in one word, member Jeonghyeon thinks of it as a rainbow during a roundtable interview session.
“Each track has its unique charm, ranging from strong and intense to playful and refreshing. It’s a colourful mix of styles, much like a rainbow,” he said.
Similarly, EVNNE does not plan on limiting themselves to a single concept in the future. They wish to explore different genres and continue improving.
While the boys showed a powerful and energetic side, member Ji Yunseo wants fans to “keep [their] imagination wide open”.
“I don’t want us to confine ourselves to a specific style or image. Instead, I hope we can continually evolve, and explore limitless possibilities,” he said in response to HallyuSG’s question on what’s next in line for the boys.
3. Stage presence unlike rookies
In the reality programme, trainee contestants had the chance to take part in various performances. And “spending time with peers who share the same dream provided invaluable learning opportunities,” member Seungeon said.
It’s all in the details. “I gained valuable insights [on] how to approach practice sessions, ways to look at the camera, and stage etiquette from [the] seniors,” he added.
Because of this, EVNNE’s stage presence mannerisms are pretty commendable for a rookie group.
Fellow member Hanbin was also praised for his stage mannerisms even during Boy’s Planet. And he believes that there lies his greatest strength.
4. The beginning of an infinite journey
Having just made their debut, EVNNE is sure to continue growing, showing many different sides.
According to Jihoo, the group is “eager to explore a wide range of concepts, from bright and refreshing to dreamy and nostalgic”.
They also want listeners to know that this is just the start. The boys also urge everyone to join them on this exciting journey, to enjoy the entire process together in their infinite journey as the newest stars in the K-pop industry.
