Returning with their fifth album Fact Check – The 5th Album (2023) is NCT 127. NCT 127 is the second overall sub-unit of NCT and comprises nine members: Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark and Haechan.

Their album has a total of nine songs and contains its namesake title number Fact Check (2023).

NCT 127 brings you on a musical journey of various genres. Ranging from an upbeat tune like Fact Check to catchy pop song Angel Eyes (2023) as well as an R&B number, Misty (2023).

Visually, there’s a satisfying juxtaposition between what seems like a futuristic dystopian world and the traditional Korean cultural landscape in its music video. The fusion of the past and future is one to add charm and character to the visuals.

Fact Check is an extension of the group’s long-standing neo-sound and noise music. And they are here to tell the world that they’re limitless and full of potential. “Check that, check that/Go ask the world and check that,” they declare.

In the music video, we also see members conquer the complex and detailed choreography clad in streetwear.

Like their previous releases 2 Baddies (2023) and Kick It (2020), Fact Check boasts a repetitively addictive chorus that gets the tune in your head.

Generally, NCT 127 has been successful in pushing out material that’s been consistent, carving out their niche in the K-pop industry. So it all boils down to how they’re going to vary their sound for their next release now.
