Overwatch 2 is joining forces with K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM for its first-ever musical collaboration.

It seems like the K-pop realm and the e-sports world have joined forces once again.

In an announcement made yesterday (18 Oct), Overwatch 2 shared that they were “announcing [their] first-ever in-game musical artist collaboration”.

“We’re teaming up with K-pop sensation, LE SSERAFIM,” they added. In a release, they also named them as “one of the fastest-growing K-pop groups on the planet”.

Composed of Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha and Hong Eun-chae, the quintet will bring their talents to Overwatch 2 this season.

This includes the release of the girl group’s upcoming single Perfect Night. The song will officially arrive next Friday (27 Oct) at 1PM KST (12PM SGT).

That’s not all.

The collaboration will also launch a new LE SSERAFIM-inspired game mode. Exclusive in-game items, like Legendary hero skins, are also available at a later date.

Separately, the girl group will be making an appearance at BlizzCon on 4 Nov for a special performance.

BlizzCon is an annual gaming convention held by Blizzard Entertainment, an American video game developer and publisher that owns franchises like Call of Duty, StarCraft and Overwatch.

This year’s edition of BlizzCon spans two days, from 3 to 4 Nov, in Anaheim, California.

In another K-pop and e-sports crossover, we previously saw NewJeans lending their voices for the League of Legends Championships anthem, titled GODS.

In other LE SSERAFIM news, leader Kim Chaewon will be halting activities for the time being. The 23-year-old singer is currently recovering after being treated for influenza A. And she would “require rest and stabilisation for the time being”, her agency said.
