Blackpink’s Jennie has started her label, ODD ATELIER (OA), a company she founded last month. The idol announced the news on 24 Dec via her Instagram account, in a post shared together with ODD ATELIER.

From now onwards, the company will manage Jennie’s solo activities.

In a carousel post and a brand photoshoot, Jennie said “I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received”. “I’m also excited about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA,” she added.

In another image, Jennie was spotted wearing matching hoodies with the letters OA with a few others, presumably her staff members.

Not forgetting her bandmates, she asked fans to “show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, BLACKPINK”.

Before the release of this news, YG Entertainment announced that Blackpink signed exclusive contracts for group activities. That came as a relief for Blinks, a collective name for Blackpink’s fans, as many have speculated if they would disband after their contracts have expired.

The band had also just ended a year-long world tour, with their encore shows held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea. The tour ended on 17 Sep, totalling 66 concerts in 22 countries. It broke the record for the highest-grossing concert tour by a female group and the most-attended concert tour by a K-pop girl group.

In the meantime, bandmate Lisa recently dropped her rendition of Britney Spear’s My Only Wish on her own YouTube channel for the festive season. The quartet are also currently preparing for their virtual-reality concert showcase, “Blackpink: A VR Encore,” set to stream today (26 Dec).
