South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster has surpassed expectations again with Jentle Salon. This new eyewear drop marks the brand’s third collaboration project with Blackpink’s Jennie.

The first was Jentle Home and the second was Jentle Garden, which saw a roaring response in 2020 and 2022 respectively.

This time, both Gentle Monster and Jennie will “present a collaborative collection that transcends the realm of eyewear,” a press statement wrote.

The Jentle Salon collection has eight different frame silhouettes with innovative elements such as temples designed for detachable charms and temples that slide into hair, resembling a barrette.

It also encourages a diverse expression of style through its eye-catching charms, amongst a “refined line of eyewear” available through Gentle Monster’s official stores.

New campaign images lensed by artist and photographer Petra Collins instilled a sense of magic through an analog lens, inviting viewers into the Jentle Salon dreamscape.

What makes this drop so irresistibly adorable though, are the charms which sophisticatedly interpret Jennie’s favourites, like the previously-trending capybaras, as well as clouds.

The true scene-stealer here is the eye-catching unicorn that we’ve seen in some of the unboxing videos released. The mythical unicorn is Gentle Monster’s way of reinterpreting nostalgic stuffed animals and a symbol to manifest Jennie’s dreams.

The public will also see the unicorn adorned with hairpins at the Gentle Monster pop-up that will open in 13 cities, including Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Shanghai, Singapore and more.

The Singapore pop-up will be available at the brand’s Marina Bay Sands boutique starting from 1 May.

There, the public can discover the full Jentle Salon collection, consisting of eight eyewear designs and 11 charms to accessorise the eyewear in various ways.
