Sandara Park says WATERBOMB performance will have “new setlist, choreography and music arrangement”

You read that right. This tiny red dot is officially Sandara Park’s favourite city. Raised in the Philippines, she does has a soft spot for Southeast Asian countries.

During the press conference for WATERBOMB 2024 held yesterday (6 May) at Suntec City, Park shared that Singapore had great landscapes.

Her last trip here was five years ago. So naturally, she looked forward to visiting iconic landmarks like the Merlion, Universal Studios Singapore and the Singapore Flyer during her most recent trip to Singapore.

Park arrived in Singapore on Friday night, ahead of gracing the launch party of Netflix’s Super Rich in Korea. She toured Universal Studios during the weekend, before her performance on Monday.

On her solo career

Park is now pursuing a solo career. But she often misses her bandmates in 2NE1.”Being a member of 2NE1 will be the best thing that has happened in my life,” she gushed.

Being a solo artist, she also gets bored travelling, being on standby and rehearsing for performances all by herself.

Adding to her concerns was covering 2NE1 songs by herself, like the quartet’s iconic hit I Am The Best (2011) for instance. However, once the music plays, the crowd never fails to sing along, and she realises that she’s not alone.

What to look forward to at WATERBOMB

Park’s advice for those attending WATERBOMB? Have fun and go crazy.

She also said that dressing appropriately is key. Getting drenched means you would feel cold more easily, so she advised fans to wear a swimsuit. And in particular, a bikini.

Fans can look forward to a new setlist, choreography and music arrangement. And perhaps less clothes, at the upcoming festival. She teased fans saying she thought she was “wearing too much today”, hinting at her stylist to prepare a bikini when she takes the stage at Waterbomb this August.
