On Friday, Son also shared a post on Instagram with the caption: “Nice to meet you, Burberry”, to celebrate his new appointment.

Son is not an unfamiliar face in the television and film scene. The 41-year-old actor has played various roles across a range of genres, since his debut in 2014.

“Son Suk-ku embodies the spirit of the brand and is a welcome addition to the Burberry community,” a press statement said.

He starred in Netflix’s D.P (2021) back in 2021, where he played soldier Lim Ji-seop. In an interview, Son revealed that the production allowed him a new approach to acting.

The following year, he was praised by critics for his adaptation of Mr. Gu in the series My Liberation Notes (2022).

He later bagged the Best New Actor award at the Korean Association of Film Critic Awards, for his performance in the crime action film The Roundup (2022).

This year, Son also played Detective Jang Nan-gam in the Netflix series A Killer Paradox (2024). He also starred in the crime drama film Troll Factory (2024), where he played a newspaper reporter named Im Sang-jin.

In the film, he is seeking reinstatement after being suspended for writing an article exposing the tyranny of a large corporation.
