Chungha is the second of three artists to be announced as part of the last wave of WATERBOMB’s line-up announcements. Viu, the organiser of WATERBOMB Singapore, shared yesterday (12 Jun) that K-pop veteran Rain will be performing on 24 Aug (Sat).

She was previously in town months ago for a performance at Marquee Singapore for the night club’s fifth annniversary. And the 28-year-old soloist is definitely no stranger to the local crowd.

Then, she played to both fans and club-goers alike, bringing new hits like EENIE MEENIE (2024) and I’m Ready (2024) live. She also told them that she had learnt a new Singlish word during her visit: shiok.

And it seems like she may learn more Singlish words this time with her upcoming visit for WATERBOMB.

Many would know that Chungha previously debuted as part of the now-defunct girl group I.O.I. Moving on to solo promotions thereafter, she also joined the American hip-hop label 88rising. As her appeal knows no boundaries, she later released multilingual tracks like Dream of You (with R3HAB) (2021) and Demente (feat. Guaynaa) (2021).

In other WATERBOMB news, Chungha is also part of the Seoul leg of the festival this year, slated to happen from 5 to 7 Jul.

Tickets to WATERBOMB Singapore are now selling fast. They start from $198 for a one-day pass and $338 for a 2-day pass. Purchase them via KKDay now.
