Show Review

Three months after gracing the local Star Awards, Onew is back in Singapore. This time, he was in town for his fan meeting held yesterday (21 Jul) at the Resorts World Sentosa Ballroom.
On the title of the fan meeting, he chose the name “Guess!” as he wanted fans to guess more about him, as a singer, artist and person. And through that, he also showed various sides of him as an individual.
From covering hit songs to drawing the iconic sceneries in Singapore, here are three highlights from his fan meeting.
1. A different type of fan meet
Being a veteran in the industry, Onew has had his fair share of performing at concerts. However, this time was different from his previous gigs.
He shared that while preparing for this fan meet, he was excited to meet his fans and interact with them. “I have prepared for many fan meets, but this time I prepared something that has more fan interactions,” he said.

Towards the end, he also let fans in on a secret: he will soon drop a new album sometime in September.
2. Onew’s a painter?
In a segment titled I’m a Painter, Onew was tasked to draw iconic sceneries in Singapore. But the catch was, he had to draw all of them, including the intricate details, within a minute.
Pictures of the Singapore Flyer and the Merlion were flashed onto the screen, and Onew hurriedly drew them onto a canvas. The emcee even joked that “we have a Picasso in the house!”, earning much laughter from the crowd.
To seal the deal of having more fan interaction, the singer also gave his art to two lucky fans.
3. Covers of popular songs
As an artist, Onew gets inspired by songs. And that’s reflected in his music journey. He shared two songs that inspired him, Harry Style’s As It Was (2022), and a song from his group’s first album, SHINee’s Love Like Oxygen (2008).

Undoubtedly, fans cheered loudly for his covers, especially Love Like Oxygen.
