Hallyu Spotlight: 8 Questions with South Korean singer Kwon Eun-bi

It’s not hard to see why South Korean singer Kwon Eun-bi was widely known by her moniker summer queen. The 28 year-old singer is always a regular at summer festivals. Waterbomb is one of them.

This year, she performed at the Seoul and Sokcho stops of the festival. And she will be in town soon for WATERBOMB Singapore next week, happening from 24-25 Aug (Sat-Sun) at Sentosa’s Siloso Beach.

Before her official performance here, HallyuSG caught up with Kwon as she talked about her travel essentials, visiting our Botanic Gardens and her upcoming Waterbomb performance.

You’re known by many as the summer queen. What can fans look forward to then, during your upcoming Waterbomb performance in Singapore?

Well, I’m working hard to prepare for my performance to meet everyone. I want to communicate (through my performance) and have fun with everyone! I’ve also prepared a cover song, so please look forward to it!

Coffee pot, sunglasses, and my hat!

How do you stay fit and in shape despite your busy schedules?

In my spare time, I do pilates and when I have an important event, I diet simultaneously too. I’m trying to lose weight and live healthily!

What is one song you’d recommend new fans to listen to?

I’d like to recommend Unnatural (2024). I think that it’ll be a perfect fit with the weather recently.

What are some places you’d like to visit in Singapore during your upcoming visit?

I hope to visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Waterbomb is in Singapore for the first time. Do you have any advice or tips to share with those who are attending?

I hope that you’ll enjoy it. And since it’s the first time, I reckon that you’d be really excited and looking forward to it. Just feel those emotions and adrenaline and enjoy yourself then!

What are some goals you have for yourself before the year ends?

I really want to release a Christmas album. I want my last album of this year to be a Christmas album!

What’s next in store for Kwon Eun-bi and what can fans expect from you in the coming months?

I plan to do a lot more shows and as well as content. I will also work hard so that I can possibly drop great albums by the end of the year, so please look forward to it.
