Lisa of Blackpink to perform at the upcoming Victoria’s Secret fashion show

Lisa of Blackpink is booked and busy, after her new music release.

Billboard exclusively reported today (19 Sep) that she will be performing at the upcoming Victoria’s Secret fashion show. It’s a big thing, not just for the fans, but for Lisa herself too.

“The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is such an iconic night in fashion. I’m so excited to be part of its return with so many incredible and powerful women being part of the show! It’s going to be a great night,” Lisa said in a press statement.

The show will take place next month, on 15 Oct in Brooklyn, New York. And it will feature an all-women artist lineup for the first time ever.

Other performers for the evening include renowned stars like South African singer-songwriter Tyla, as well as American actress-singer Cher.

There’s no doubt at all that the Victoria’s Secret show is back, for real.

The show was cancelled in 2019, as the brand faced backlash on its lack of inclusivity and depiction of unrealistic beauty standards. Last year, they tried out a new concept Prime Video special Victoria’s Secret: The Tour ’23 (2023).

The programme starred Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Bieber and more, in different cities around the world.

Separately, Lisa recently attended the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. There, she also played her two new songs, New Woman (2024) and Rockstar (2024) before bagging the Best K-pop award.

In other Blackpink news, it’s all eyes on Jisoo as she makes a possible appearance for Paris Fashion Week. Jennie, on the other hand, is set to make a comeback next month through a new single.
