Rosé of Blackpink and Bruno Mars to collaborate on upcoming track, APT.

If having a solo comeback was not enough, think about a collaboration featuring two of the world’s top musicians.

We’ve seen that happen recently when Blackpink’s Lisa teamed up with Rosalía for New Woman. Now, Rosé and American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars are working together on a new single titled “APT.”. Yes, you’ve read that right.

In an announcement via social media on 17 Oct (Thu), Rosé and Mars shared a teaser picture of their collaboration with their fans. Their new music is slated to drop today (18 Oct).

However, for sharp-eyed fans, this does not come as a total surprise.

The duo posted pictures of themselves hanging out days ago, with Rosé teaching Mars how to play a ‘Korean drinking game‘. Fans had been speculating and commenting on their posts, wondering if they were hinting at a collaboration. And well, they were right.

In his post, Mars even joked that Rosé had tried to kiss him while playing the drinking game. The latter replied, “What’s wrong with uuuu (yes, with four ‘u’s)”, playing along with Mar’s narrative. We can already tell the duo has good chemistry, which we can expect to see in their upcoming track too.

Rosé is not the first in Blackpink to come back with new music recently.

Bandmates Lisa and Jennie both recently released solo tracks of their own, with Lisa performing her latest hit Rockstar (2024) and Moonlit Floor (2024) at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show just days ago, and Jennie released her it-girl anthem, Mantra, which is now gaining popularity exponentially.

Towards the end of the year, fans can also look forward to Rosé’s first full-length solo album, Rosie, which will drop on 6 Dec.
