ITZY’s Yeji to make solo debut with first album Air in March

ITZY’s Yeji is officially the first member of the quintet to make her solo debut.

Earlier this month, JYP Entertainment dropped the first trailer for her solo debut, getting fans all excited to see what she has in store as a solo artist. Titled Air, this will be the name of her debut album as well as its lead single.

The trailer showcased a futuristic and mystical concept, with images of flower blueprints and a glass lab, contrasted against Yeji’s sleek outfits.

At the end of the video, Yeji spots a short bob haircut and appears in an elegant black ensemble, a completely different persona from her usual style.

Musically, Air will consist of four tracks: Air, Invasion, Can’t Slow Me, No, and 258.

For the title track Air, Yeji also got a part in writing the lyrics, adding a personal touch to her debut. Fans can expect to hear diverse music styles in this album, with contributions from renowned producers and songwriters, including J.Y. Park, Ryan Jhun and more.

Along with the tracklist, many more teasers are in the line-up leading up to the official album release.

There will be more concept photos and music video teasers dropping nearer to the release date. So, there’s much to look forward to as we anticipate Yeji showcasing her creative artistry and individual style.

Air is set to drop on 10 Mar (Mon) at 6PM KST (5PM SGT).
