Did you know that some 600,000 Koreans travel to Singapore annually? And approximately 400,000 Singaporeans travel to Korea?

That’s one of the many interesting facts shared at the recent Korea Travel Fair 2025.

The travel fair is happening this weekend at the main atrium of Plaza Singapura. But this year’s edition is slightly more special. It commemorates 50 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Korea.

The event also saw appearances from stars like K-actor Yim Si-wan and vocalist PUNCH, whose real name is Bae Jin-young.

He also said that seafood tastes five times better when eaten in Cheongsampo, an area in Busan, his hometown, with street stalls that serve fresh seafood.

On the topic of food, when asked to choose between various chicken dishes in Korea, fried chicken emerged victorious. Well, it’s hard to disagree with him.

A fitness fanatic himself, he also shared that he usually finds a running route to explore the city he’s in, but also makes time to try new food when visiting new places.

There were also a handful of other performances during the opening ceremony, like a comic martial arts showcase by the  South Korean troupe JUMP. And a musical showcase by the National Gugak Centre with Korean traditional instruments.
