There’s just something effortlessly desirable about a man at ease. But it seems like that laid-back effect gets multiplied even more when that man is SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, and especially so when he is in Calvin Klein.
The undoubted main character of Calvin Klein’s Fall 2025 denim dispatch more than shook the entire Internet when both the stills and moving imagery of his campaign were released.

Posing beside speakers that barely rivalled in presence, Mingyu wore a denim set that showcased the CK Emblem in a new all-over logo graphic, the 90s denim sat low on the hip to reveal the waistband of the Icon Cotton Stretch Trunk.
Layers are indeed optional, as both the striped shirt and signature trucker are left open to embrace jeans’ laissez-faire allure.
But we’ll accord some of the cool to the icon wearing it — scroll for an interview with Mingyu to learn more about his thoughts on personal style, his Calvins, and what being an artist for a decade has taught him about fashion.
How would you describe Calvin Klein’s style in one word?
Kim Mingyu.
How has your style changed in the past few years?
I didn’t really explore flashy styles before, but as time goes by, I find myself drawn to them bit by bit. (laughs) These days, I try to blend them with something more simple and effortless to showcase my unique style.
@hallyusg One chance please, #Mingyu? 🥹🤭 We’re not complaining though, because more #MingyuxCalvinKlein content is coming our way. The @SEVENTEEN member is turning the heat up, igniting desire in 90s denim as he makes a statement in this CK fit. Oh, and we’re already feeling the heat now as we speak. #민규 #seventeen #세븐틴 ♬ original sound – HallyuSG
Describe a typical “Mingyu” look when you need to dress up.
When the occasion calls for formality, I prefer a suit. I believe clothing has the power to shape one’s attitude.
Conversely, describe a typical fit that you would wear when you need to run errands.
I often wear activewear, and I think I have a preference for sporty looks for casual outings.
What three words describe how you feel when you wear Calvin Klein?
Comfort, energy, and a casual vibe.

How was shooting this campaign compared to the previous ones?
This campaign was shot in New York, and being in a new environment felt refreshing. I also enjoyed the process of working closely with the team on set. It was a special experience because I was able to feel a different atmosphere compared to before.
What is one piece of Calvin Klein apparel you think everyone should own in their wardrobe?
I would choose the underwear and the denim set-up.
What do you think is the most unexpected item we can find in your closet?
A doll keychain.
Do you think your music is tied to your Calvin Klein fashion endeavours?
I believe both music and fashion are ways of expressing who I am. They’re both forms of creativity, and since they allow me to reflect my mood or personality on a given day, I feel they’re deeply connected.

What is the best fashion advice/styling hack you’ve received from a stylist or friends in the fashion industry?
I feel happiest when someone says that a piece fits me well. It’s especially meaningful when I hear it from designers. That’s why I believe it’s important for me to adapt to the clothes, rather than expecting the clothes to adapt to me.
