Four years after the 2018 box office hit, The Witch is back with an upgraded sequel with even bigger action. The highly-anticipated sequel, The Witch Part 2. The Other One, tells the story of a girl who walks out of a devastated secret lab by herself and those who are hunting her down.
Top secret research lab known as Ark is ambushed by an unknown group of terrorists and everyone inside it is butchered. This is where the Witch Program took place, and the sole survivor of the attack walks out of there for the first time in her life. She befriends Kyung-hee (Park Eun-bin) and Dae-gil (Sung Yoo-bin) by accident and starts a new life in their farm. Meanwhile, there are forces that are tracking her whereabouts with their own goals, and as they converge on the girl, her hidden survival instinct kicks in.
The Witch Part 2 introduces a new protagonist only known as ‘the girl’ (Shin Si-ah) and a new diverse group of characters who all want her for one reason or another, thereby creating THE WITCH universe.
Since its release in Korea’s cinemas, the film has been dominating the box office, surpassing 1 million moviegoers in less than four days. The suspenseful sequel also features several high-profile supporting roles including Cho Min-su, Lee Jong-seok and Kim Da-mi, who played the protagonist in the first film as a way to link this film to the first.
