As the newest brand ambassadors for The Shilla Duty Free, Highlight was in town last Friday (October 12) to celebrate the 4th Year anniversary of the global duty free store at Changi Airport Terminal 4, where they held a press conference and Fanmeeting to commemorate the celebrations.
The group shared their congratulatory messages and expressed that they were honored to be appointed as the latest brand ambassadors for The Shilla Duty Free.
As the members travel overseas frequently, Yoseob revealed that he enjoys shopping at the duty free store as it carries a wide range of products which are suitable for gifts. On the other hand, Dongwoon mentioned ‘fragrances’ and ‘skin care products’ as the essential items that he would purchase from The Shilla Duty Free.
Despite the absence of one member (Doojoon) at the event due to his military service, Highlight’s Junhyung promised that they will return as five again in the near future.
The group will be celebrating their 9th year debut anniversary this October, and Junhyung shared a heartwarming wish for this milestone, “Rather than making a big wish, I just hope that we will continue down the road as five members. I hope that we’d be able to celebrate our anniversary together with our fans every year.”
Not forgetting that they are the faces of the global duty free store, Gikwang wittily added that he hopes Highlight and The Shilla Duty Free will strive together till the 400th year anniversary.
On what they see themselves doing in the next 10 years, Yoseob promised that they will work harder to bring better songs and performances in the future, as he thanked fans for the unwavering support over the past 9 years.
“We will stay here as we are right now. There are only two things that will change throughout the years and that will be our age and the years we spend together with one another.” (Yoseob)
During the exclusive Fanmeeting that took place after the press conference, Highlight treated fans to their classic hits such as ‘Plz Don’t Be Sad‘ and ‘CALLING YOU‘, and ended on a high note with ‘Beautiful Night‘.
In related news, it has been announced that Yoseob will be enlisting in the military on January 24, 2019 as a conscripted policeman. We wish him all the best, and huge congratulations to Highlight and The Shilla Duty Free on their respective anniversaries!
