Sessions — a livestreaming platform, is collaborating with Joy Ruckus Club — the largest Asian music festival in the world, to present K-Pop SuperFest. Featuring an exciting lineup of artistes, the event will take place on Sunday, 20 June 2021 from 9am to 5pm SGT and will be livestreamed from the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul.
The one-day festival includes 11-member K-pop group The Boyz, legendary South Korean pop star Rain, powerhouse vocalist and singer-songwriter Ailee, and charismatic rapper Jessi. They will be joined by boy bands AB6IX, Cravity and Golden Child, girl groups Momoland and Lovelyz, as well as singer and rapper Heize, rapper Bloo, and DJ Soda. Soloist AleXa and Kevin (from The Boyz) will be hosting the global event. Here’s a look at the lineup:

12-member K-pop boy group THE BOYZ were in town last weekend for the second stop of their Asia Fan-Con Tour [The Castle], where fans got to see them at both the open press conference as well as the Fan-Con. Right from the get-go, the group set the stage on fire with electrifying performances of “Boy”, their debut track, and “Right Here”, displaying their powerful and synchronized choreographies.
During the game segment, they split into 3 teams and had to guess the K-pop songs that were being played and dance to them! Fans went wild as the members danced to songs like BTS’ “Boy With Luv” and Sunmi’s “Gashina”.
For the next game, they had to guess certain words that their teammates were saying whilst having headphones on. The members sent fans into fits of laughter when they could not get the correct word and made up something entirely different!
THE BOYZ also prepared special VCR clips where they acted out their own version of the Korean drama hit, “Sky Castle”. The members shared that filming the clips was fun as it was their first time acting together and they did not know they had it in them to act.
Besides their own songs, THE BOYZ treated THE Bs to covers of EXO’s “Call Me Baby” and TWICE’s “Cheer Up”, showing both their manly as well as cute sides!
One of the main surprises they prepared just for Singapore fans was a very special performance of JJ Lin’s “Saranghaeyo”, which they sang in English and Mandarin.
After performing their latest title track “Bloom Bloom”, a feel-good upbeat track, the members even taught THE Bs the main point of the choreography and everyone did it together!
Following a special unit dance performance, all the members came together and performed “Only One”, “Text Me Back”, as well as “I’m Your Boy”.
After serenading fans with a performance of “4Ever”, THE BOYZ were surprised with a special fan project, to which the members expressed how grateful they are to THE Bs and how they will always love and appreciate them.
The group then went on to perform the last two songs of the night, “Keeper” and “Clover”, bringing the Fan-Con to a sweet close. Despite having debuted just a year and a half ago, THE BOYZ truly showed their professionalism and stage presence at this Fan-Con, and we cannot wait to see them back in Singapore again for a full concert in the near future.
Cre.Ker Entertainment’s 12-member boy group THE BOYZ held their Open Press Conference on June 15, a day ahead of their first-ever Asia Fan-Con Tour [The Castle] in Singapore.
Greeted by a hoard of enthusiastic fans affectionately known as THE Bs, THE BOYZ sat down for an interview where they answered questions on their songwriting inspirations, first impressions of each other, as well as future plans.
Visiting Singapore for the first time as a group, THE BOYZ mentioned the beautiful scenery they’ve heard about the city, and especially highlighted their desire to watch the Spectra Light & Water Show at Marina Bay Sands.
When asked about the inspiration behind Sun-woo and Eric’s songwriting for their latest single ‘Bloom Bloom’, Eric said he’d always wanted to write something dedicated to fans, adding that the members wanted to walk on the “flowery path” together with their fans.
Up until now, THE BOYZ are known for their young, fresh and boyish concepts, but Ju-yeon expressed an interest in trying out a sexy concept in the future; to the approving cheers of fans!
Meanwhile, Hwall was chosen by the other members as the one who had the strongest first impression because he seemed intimidating, but over time the members came to know him as a very cute and lovely person.
When they have free time off, THE BOYZ shared that they enjoy going to internet cafes and bowling together, but one of their favourite activities as a group is ordering spicy rice cakes and fried chicken to eat at home.
THE BOYZ wrapped up their press conference with a special fansign event for the fans, praising Singaporean fans as very passionate and energetic.
In just a week’s time, THE BOYZ will be staging their first-ever Asia Fan-Con Tour [The Castle] in Singapore and anticipations are high for this rising boy group from Cre.ker Entertainment. For the first half of this year, THE BOYZ has made plans to meet their international fans and they will be setting out on their first Asia Tour titled The Boyz Asia Fan-Con Tour “The Castle”, visiting cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Having successfully kicked off their Asia Fan-Con Tour for two days in Seoul last January, the 12-member boy group is ready to set foot in Asia next month with a 6-city tour. But before that, let’s dive into their idol journey and give you a little more insights to stan this talented group!
1. Their group choreographies are absolutely on point
Once you’ve watched their music video or performance clip, you’ll subconsciously find yourself absorbed into their eye-catching and seamless dance moves. With so many members in the group, sometimes being synchronised with one another is a challenge by itself. Nonetheless, their performances are always a joy to watch as the choreographies were meticulously crafted out to make each member stand out on their own.

2. A burst of energy and boyish charms
THE BOYZ entered the world of K-Pop with their debut mini album [The First], which placed third on Gaon’s weekly chart during the week of its release. The title track ‘Boy’ sings about the hardships they’ve gone through in order to achieve their dreams, as it calls out to the world with their cool and boyish charms.
In 2018, the boy group has gone on to release two other mini albums and a digital single, successfully garnering a bigger fanbase and gaining more attention both domestically and internationally.
Some of their best hits include ‘Giddy Up’, ‘KeePer’ (produced by Block B’s Park Kyung), ‘Right Here’ and ‘No Air’. Every new release was able to showcase their different charms – from the boyish to the cutesy and more – as they displayed their vibrant and youthful energy.
Their recent comeback covers 3 songs in the digital single, which features ‘Bloom Bloom’ as the title track that is sure to get listeners tapping their toes. 3. Making waves during their pre-debut days
Some members’ names might have rang a bell and it’s because they had experienced their own share of popularity on reality competition, survival programs, and even appearances in other artistes’ music videos.
Prior to debut, members Kevin and Sunwoo were contestants on “K-Pop Star 6” and “High School Rapper” respectively. Ju Haknyeon also participated in “Produce 101 Season 2”, where he was ranked #19 in the finale of the survival program.
Younghoon appeared in several MVs like I.O.I’s ‘Whatta Man’, John Park’s ‘DND (Do Not Disturb)’, and Melody Day’s ‘Color’ (alongside Eric, Hwall and Hyunjae too).
In fact, all of them have experienced huge popularity during their pre-debut days through their very own web variety show “Flower Snack”, which gained them over 10,000 fan club members and more than a million likes. (Watch it here)
